I didn't get much of a buzz from it though and not too big a fan of the flavors either. I still have strawberry milkshake and Pan Rasa sitting in my pantry. Floataround
Have not tried Tangiers, have wanted to, but have not had the chance, so Nakhla easily wins this one for me.

[/quote] Should of read the rest of the question. I find the flavors intense, although the tobacco undertones still pull through. But, if you're talking thick clouds, Tangiers. I would love if people could differentiate smoke quality (density) from smoke quantity. Tangiers definitely has both, but other brands with so called "thick smoke" is thin, but with massive quantity. king_lunchb0x
Ive never really differentiated from the two. I thought "thick smoke" meant dense and a of it. What brands are known to have thin smoke just alot of it?
omegaalpha22
Starbuzz, Al Fakher, the more glycerin laced tobaccos. Tangiers, Nakhla, Afzal, Desi Murli, and all those unwashed, lesser glycerin tobaccos have more density to the smoke. More molasses=more density, more glycerin=less density. mushrat
Tangiers K-peach. And smoke is directly related to your skill with the charcoal, not the brand.
omegaalpha22
Again, I wasn't referring to thin as in quantity, I was referring as into quality. AF and Starbuzz smoke has little density to it.

AF and Starbuzz smoke has little density to it. As to mushrat's comment, I do agree with you on smoke PRODUCTION, It's all about the charcoal. But, when you take a less dense tobacco, such as AF or Starbuzz, your smoke will still be less dense. Again, this goes to my original comment about differentiating smoke quantity and smoke quality. king_lunchb0x
What about tobacco that is honey based, not molasses. Would they have a thinner smoke than a molasses one?

If you can get Desi Murli, Nakhla Zaghloul or Khan El Khalil to put out as much smoke as Tangiers or Starbuzz (and still be smokable)...I'll send a kilo or two of Tangiers K-Peach your way. Note: adding glycerin is cheating Edited September 23, 2011 by Arcane
followthereaper
I would say my favorite brands are Naklah and Romman. Ive had the most enjoyable smokes from these brands but I think its hard to pin down the best of the best. I think every brand has great flavors and duds as I have had with these two but overall Ive found many to be very enjoyable. Although all brands are not necessarily as good as others--I would never buy Starbuzz or Hookah-Hookah for my own personal consumption for example. Next brands I wanna try are Social Smoke and Tangiers both of which I am excited to try, I think I'm finally done acclimating the tangiers. =)
