New Hookah

Recommended Posts

So its about time i upgraded and bought a new hookah. im tired of buying cheap china hookahs, so this time imma invest into a really good one that will last.

I was looking into buying a KM original trimetal for $130 from 5starhookah
they offer me good prices to ship to canada.

But i was wondering if the caravan hookahs are any good, they are cheaper then KM. or if a Mya hookah would be a better idea?
i dont think i will be willing to spend over 180$-200$ on a new hookah.

Thankyou, do you know if the KM will rust? because i have a lot of problems of my old hookahs rusting. And they rust within a month of use. I always use paper towel to dry my hookah after i wash it and i leave it in the dish washer for any remaining water to drip down.

kms are great full size hookahs, ,mine hasn't rusted yet and i smoked from it for 2-3 years using almost daily. The price can be a little steep. Myas are great as long as you don't get the "econo" line. They rust and gum up like hell.Caravan hookas look like standard Egyptian style, not sure about the quality. Honestly I think the Km for 130$ shipped canada is a pretty good deal.

I would've so bought a km if my dad wasn't terribly against smoking! QT is just easier to hide. :(

When i first started smoking hookah, i bought a pumpkin so everytime i was done i had to hide it in my closet so my mom wouldnt know. =(
Eventually i told my mom and she's completely fine with it. I have my hookahs as decoration on the kitchen table

Well personal freedom isn't popular here where I live, and when my dad once walked in on me smoking hookah, he blamed me for spoiling my younger brother and threw away everything! :( I am so jelly! Congrats on your pipe though! Great choice!

Copper and brass both oxidize quickly so to a certain degree they do "rust", although its really not the same as iron oxide. If you get a try metal make sure to keep your pipe clean.

Thankyou, would just cleaning it in hot water, soap and stem and base brushes enough? Afterwards i would dry it with paper towel and leave it in the dish washer for the rest of the water to dry. (also thankyou for the link, but that online vendor will charge me more then 60$ in shipping. 5starhookah would still be cheaper) Edited by herbalsmoke

That will work great. After a little while, the color may get dull and you'll want to pick up some brass polish.

Definitely have some brass polish on you,
I love anything KM. (I own quite a few...including my baby, my Admiral with a Nizbor Bohemian Crystal base on it)
What I like to do is wash my hookahs with soap and water biweekly, but after I'm done smoking out of a hookah, I always run water through it.
You'll definitely love the tri-metal.

OmegaAlpha,
Im curious, what type of soap do you use? I normally just rinse with water/baking soda/lemon juice/water in that order. Occasionally when I clean the vase, I might use some dish soap, but thats about it.
Do you soak with soap or something?

I'd use normal dish soap...no I don't soak. Just run it through and rinse.
IF it's really bad, I'll do waterlemon juice/vinegar soak.
The thing is I may do it bimonthly.
Rinsing out your hookah and vase with water after every use is great for avoiding cleaning.

I don't know what kind of dishwasher you have, but I'd be willing to wager that an OG will NOT fit.

I think they meant putting it on the dishwasher rack to dry.

I think I have dyslexia, I read watermelon juice like three times before I figured it out.

LOL these are pretty funny.

the "waterlemon juice" I was wondering how "watermelon juice" would clean a hookah too.

Hey, I still have my mya on the dish rack (no dishwasher here) because I have NOT had time to take it for it's maiden voyage.
