I have a bambino and the large nammors fit in them
Yes!! Best news! I'm about to buy one right now!!

How about flavors guys?? I have read through the "Memorable Mixes" but the place I've been buying my shisha only carries Al Fakher. (It's not a head shop, it's a Mediterranean bakery, hopefully I can find a better place soon) Since I'm buying the hose, I thought I might as well splurge on a flavor or two from hookah-shisha.

This is all I have (Al Fakher)
Lemon
Mint
Peach
Mango
Coconut
Cappuccino
Vanilla

I also have a mix I bought from bulk down in Blacksburg called "Pom Star" it's Pomegranate, Jasmine & Vanilla.
I would suggest investing in a Phuunel bowl and picking up some Tangiers Lucid (flavors to try are Orange Soda and Horchata) and either Fumari or Social Smoke. If you're going to do that, it's actually cheaper to use 5starhookah. They have the Tangiers Phunnel and the Nammor (at the same price as H-S), along with better deals on tobacco (15.99 for SB...wow!) with cheaper shipping.

And just to let you know, I know that lounge in B-burg (GO HOKIES!!) and it's all Al Fakher. So you could probably make that Pornstar mix for cheaper (AF Grenadine=pomegranate)

My first order from H-S included a large Nammor hose (really like it) and some shisha from their clearance/specials section. My next order will be with 5 star since H-S doesn't carry the small Tangiers phunnel. (and there were a couple "necessaries" I forgot to order)

Noticed you asked about the diffuser.

I think it's cool as hell. Makes the draw very smooth, stops the gurgling and makes it nearly silent. Gets rid of the vibrations too.
Don't think the bambino is loud enough to get a diffuser.

Welp. I was gonna make some comments and help out... Butttttt. You guys seem to have help our friend out to the max. Nice job guys.

EDIT: When it comes to Al Fakher Grape... AF Grape USED to be a staple in most (including mine) smokers collection.. However, now it has become a most foul taste and I would never recommend it unless you want a nice strong KETCHUP taste along with your hotdog meal (no kidding, it LITERALLY tastes like ketchup)

Thanks guys! I bought a phunnell, some flavors, a new hose & I'm happy.

It makes me feel a little better about the Redskins losing... but at least I have one winning team (Go Hokies!)

I seriously CAN'T wait for all my new toys to come in! You guys have been amazing!

I'll post pics when I get the upgrades :)

I'm going to suggest you look into a crown classic bowl. I got mine last Friday and between that bowl on my Nammor hose, it had to be the easiest draw I've ever had! Honestly my best smoking experience yet.

Do post the pics! We like pictures here. :) And where did you get the phunnel from? I ask because hookah-shisha doesn't sell tangiers phunnels, just knockoffs.

Interesting. Size aside, how would you say it compares to the micro phunnel since you have that too? Smoked anything else other than tangiers in it?

Well, I didn't smoke Tangiers in my crown classic, I smoked some Fantasia I had, and I smoked some Blue Mist out of it. The Tangiers I bought I saved for my Tangiers Small phunnel I got in the same order. But I'm comparison, with the crown Micro phunnel, I feel the draw off the Crown Classic is much easier and natural feeling, really it felt like just breathing. The Micro I do feel has a bit of restriction too it, but it works wonders for short sessions and getting a lot of smoking time, out of a very small amount of tobacco. So they are both great investments. I'm planning on smoking tomorrow evening and if everyone would like, I'll smoke some Tangiers out of it and review how it compares to the micro phunnel if everyone would like.

Don't know about everyone, but I'd sure like it if you do it. :) And about the restriction, I've smoked from rigs where it felt like just breathing, and I have to say I quite prefer a slight restriction.

Hello everyone!

My name is Charisse & I'm new. I've been smoking hookah casually/socially since high school but didn't buy my very own hookah till last year.

After browsing this forum for a bit, I found out (haha) that my hookah is the Mya Saray Bambino. I found a few pictures of it in my phone for you guys...

Until earlier this year, I didn't smoke hookah too often. It wasn't until I made a personal decision to stop smoking *cough* other things... that I started to smoke my hookah more often! Now that I'm smoking more I'm looking into making a few upgrades to my set up!

I've done a little bit of internet searching & I think I've decided I want to get a new hose. As far as I know, my hose works fine, but it never hurts to upgrade right? The hose I have it the one that came with it, wood then metal tip. Any suggestions on what kind of hose I should get?

Also, what other upgrades should I be getting? Diffuser? Wind protector blocker thing?

Haha sorry I suck with the lingo, but I look forward to learning more from everyone!

Thanks ahead for the help :)
haha first of... howdey! happened to notice your in va like meh!

my first upgrade was a nammor hose, and a mya mini bowl... after that i bought my first "real" hookah a Khalil malmoon tri-metal.

this forum is a great place to learn about hookah stuff but i find if you hang out a hookah lounge and get to know hard core long time smokers you will learn all the little ins and outs quicker and better for what you smoke and how you smoke i have a couple little myas two just like yours a tan and blue one also a dark green qt love them but not the best for a phunnel bowl with the heat cuase the small amount of water makes it hot after a while so stick with any egyptian style or the stock mya one those are always good with anything but tangiers tobacco, only person that thinks i pack bowls crapy and set up is my gf yet just shes just gealous that i pack them better then her lol she packed this bowl im smoking now and its ozzing juice everywhere and blocking the holes but what ever i love her thats why im the hookah/coal bitch lol.

But enjoy the forum awesome people here and also crazy advocates with our life style :)

UPDAATTTEEE

Hey guys!! My package from hookah-shisha came to my door as I was walking out to my car for the long drive to Blacksburg for the weekend! So I put the package in my car & opened it the second I got down there.

Yeaaaahhhhh, I guess I did buy a knock-off :( Also the bowl is pretty big so that caught me off guard. I guess everyone gets their one mistake right?

As far as the Nammor hose goes, I LOVE IT! & I love that it's pink although a lot of guys complained about feeling gay while smoking it this weekend... (Me: "What you don't like sticking long pink things in your mouth & sucking hard?") My cousin & I have been struggling trying to learn to blow smoke rings for so long & this weekend I was blowing them out like a pro!

I'll post pics later today, I'm super lazy right now & I still have to unpack.

But here are some questions:

When you're packing a phunell bowl, do you still poke holes everywhere on the foil? Or do you just poke them around the outside? Orrrr whatttt??

Since the phunnel bowl I bought is so big, it was really hard for me to pull smoke at first. I eventually resorted to using two small sized coals & I finally got enough smoke... I'll post a picture of how big the bowl looks on my hookah in a bit... Is this an ok thing to do... orrr???
Once again, you guys rock!

1 - Some prefer holes all over, some prefer a ring of holes. Either way it will work, so experiment a bit!
2 - I have a H-S phunnel that usually uses 3-4 coals to get going.

Ah, I was afraid about you buying a phunnel from them, and I haven't checked the previous comments but I am GUESSING that we forgot to mention it before you ordered that H-S doesn't sell tang phunnels, sorry. :(

I personally just poke 3 rings of holes and avoid poking holes in the center above the spire...Idk..it just feels better to me that way.

 • 2 weeks later...
Hey guys! I promised a picture of my new set up a long time ago & I never got around to taking pictures... But I snapped one today when I was smoking with my cousins!

I know I have the wrong phunell, but it works perfectly for me (because I don't know any better lol)
I also bought some natural coals & they rock!!! I'm planning on giving my quick-lites to a friend of mine & investing in more of the natural coals. I'm a believer now!

Hope you like my new pink set up :)

Nice set-up! And yes, absolutely ditch the quicklights. I just started using Coconaras last week and won't use my quicklights or even my lemonwood coals if I don't absolutely have to. The coco coals are great; they're long-lasting, hardly ash, and don't affect the taste. You'll notice the difference, I know I do
