A13lackFish
6 months to a year on average. What I usually do is take a folded rectangle of Reynolds Heavy, Wrap it around the bowl leaving an opening up top. It works the exact same and costs me like a fraction of a cent. And why do you replace your main hookah every 5 months? Your hookahs should be lasting way longer than that. Also, I've never broken a bowl nor vase. *knocks on wood*
The hookah thing is just for the fun of it though XD. And I go through vases and bowls so fast becuase of my pets. Labrador deciding to do a quick run through the house "just because". That kind of thing
get one of those storage ottoman things place hookah in there - hookah is now dog proof. UltimateHookah
It depends on the kind. They seem to all be generic, no name brands. Mostly made in Egypt and Syria. They all seem a bit cheap and clunky but do the job. And, they do last a long time. Only thing that may happen is some fading.
atalanta
I think those quad metal wind covers are really cool looking, but a bit over priced.
mustang67n
i've only ever had one wind cover.. had it for 2+ years and it's showing no sign of going anywhere soon... unless I find a quad metal for cheap....
Chreees
Who wants to trade me their gold Tangiers-sized windcover for my silver Tangiers-sized windcover? Gold would match my hookahs better. Also, I need a copper KM tray for my OG Tri... Shit, I think I better post a trade thread. Haha.

Also, considering the KM has a taller bowl port than most, it may give you trouble. But I'm going to guess and say you *should* be okay as long as you're using a standard clay bowl and not a phunnel or anything else that is taller. Hope it works for you. herbalsmoke
i'll probably be using a tangiers phunnel most of the time. i'll wait till the shipment comes in. and if it doesnt work maby i'll cut a soup can or something to give my windcover some more height? =) Thanks though

Do the soup can or a monster energy drink can, or something similar. Or do this out of aluminum foil:

joytron
Try using the tongs as a booster seat to give clearance for the windcover.
