Just Dropping In

hey everyone, just wanted to drop in and say hi, im not on much but am active with my hookah experience, i definitely miss being on the forum, but i'm busy with work and its hard to keep up with two forums at once... i'm saving for a motorcycle so i'm active on a motorcycle forum XD. and im staying with my grand mother so my hookah life has to lay low :/ she's a super baptist. lately i have fallen in love with hookah-hookah shisha... seems to be perfect since i don't have a whole lot of time to set everything up. unfortunately im stuck using quick lite coals :/ the co co's just take to long to light and i haven't had any luck with them lately aether i have to little foil and burn or have to much foil and don't get enough smoke for some reason. i have had similar issues with my funnel bowl, i haven't gotten a good smoke out of that stupid thing since i got it so i've been sticking to my mini mya bowl. I just ordered 4 more flavors from hookah-hookah , vanilla,mint,blueberry (in hopes its something like blue mist) and orange.

I happened to stumble across the shisha vac today does anyone have one!? lol i am so wanting one but i cant buy one until after i buy my bike... that thing is awesome!!

ok well enough of my rambling hahaha

Hey man, sorry I wasn't descriptive enough in my previous post.

I rarely ever question someone's choices about what they like to smoke, as it is after all a very personal choice, so please don't take this post in the wrong way. I am just offering some suggestions.

Hookah hookah is, by (almost) unanimous vote here, the most vile hookah tobacco in the market. Have you tried some other brands? There are a few in that price range that are leaps and bounds above HH when it comes to quality. Nakhla and AF come to mind, both having excellent smoke and mostly non-chemical tasting flavours (though AF is notorious for having too many candy like flavours, but most of them are still tasty), and nakhla also packs a pretty punch since it's unwashed.

As for the choice for your coals, using quicklites may be optimum for your situation since you say your grandmother doesn't approve of hookah, but you say you have tried cocos? So you can use them there? Can you please explain a bit more about the problems you have with naturals? See, ideally you want to use natural coals, since they don't stink as much as Qls and don't add a coal taste to your tobacco, and if your foil is burning by using cocos, then I'd think it should burn using Qls as well, because they impart more heat than naturals. Although if you find that using quicklites is better for you, please allow them to light all the way through before putting them on the bowl (they should have a layer of ash on them and there should not be even a trace of "black" when you blow on em).

And about the phunnel, I am assuming you are not using a legit tangiers phunnel/alien phunnel/crown phunnel, and probably using a chinese knockoff? If so, you will have problems. To elevate your smoking experience, you must get a phunnel from the list I mentioned.
