Chreees
Very common problem with any of the Econo line Myas. Only solution is to pitch it and get a non-Econo Gelato.

Chreees
Lol, Myas are good, just the bigger ones are overpriced. Their Econo line just sucks and shouldn't have been made. But yeah, only the small Myas are worth buying really (QT, Bambino, Acrylic, Petite, Mono, Vento, etc....).
Stuie
I think if the diva was $15 cheaper people would buy it a lot. Taller of the small Myas and smokes great.
atalanta
Will a non-econo stem fit on an econo base? If so, you could probabaly just buy a new stem.

Fouda
What's the difference between the econo and the standard other than price?? I'm guessing quality??

Fouda
Thank you epoch but I think an econo isn't a bad idea if u need one to get you through till u have real cash Great starters

I'd just recommend to wait till you have cash and then one from their standard line. My QT has been washed 2 times, every single day since I got it (may be 2 months ago) and it's as good as new and will probably last me a long time if I treat her right. ROFLWAFFLE have you seen the new price hike? 55-60 for any decent small Mya is becoming the norm. At that price I can buy a lower end KM or nour or even a nammor. Floataround
I think the best way to look at hookah buying is sort of like this... you can buy a hookah, or you can invest in one. Spend the money and get a nice hookah that will last for years and years and years, or buy one that will last...well just go ahead and roll the dice. I'm glad that my post amused you so much. 2. Having just done a quick Google search (to show me the prices from all of the vendors...), the prices do seem to be a bit higher, by about $5-10, depending on where you look. So I guess no, I had not seen the price hike when I wrote that post. Is a hookah worth the money? Ultimately that is up to the person. I still think at their current price, small Myas (nothing over the $60 range) are a good entry level hookah. Or if you want something small and durable and will smoke great. It may be Chinese, but it's not junk. I've owned several and was pleased with all of them; I just prefer something a little bigger and more unique. I don't normally see KMs or Nammors that cheap unless its in trades. Nours, about $10-20 more than the Myas in this price range according to the additional quick Google search where I found them available at two online vendors. Coyote
I don't know... I think you can buy a Mya and rest assured that you will be able to get replacement parts that will fit exactly since they are machine made but then again, one of the main reasons that you need replacement parts is because their wear so easily. KMs on the other hand, are hand made so it is harder to fit the grommets. The need for replacement parts in a KM seem to be far less than for a Mya. I would be interested to know if this is a correct assessment based on others experiences. New thread? In regards to the durability of a Mya; I have a tendency to knock things over and burn stuff so something small that sits on a table top is not as durable as something large that sits on the floor. However that isn't the reason why I don't like Myas. Mostly I'm not a fan of their outward appearance or their draw. I like to feel the RUMBLE. And I never get that with the Mya's there are generally small with a smooth draw. I have smoked out of a lot of different Myas and have always thought that. Also the price doesn't seem to justify what it is. For a machined piece of thick glass from China I wouldn't expect to pay those prices. I'm not sure why the lounges by them considering the risk of breakage. I get all my stuff through trade, buy them other members who are rotating their collections, through donations, or from the bossman so I can't really speak to regular retail prices so I can't speak on the price comparison. But if it is between a KM from another member for $70 or a brand new Mya then I would prefer the KM because the longevity is far greater. Just my opinion and person preference.
The easily replaced parts is one of the biggest reasons Myas are so popular at lounges. The vases can take a pretty good beating without breaking, and if the purge/downstem/hose port gets broken, they're cheap and easy to fix. That said, I can't blame you for preferring big Egyptians for personal use. -biased!-
