herbalsmoke
So i don't know if i'm late on this or something, but i just went to the shisha shop near my house to get some new tongs and i saw some al fakher herbal shisha. like no tobacco. I bought a 200 gram tin of strawberry for 14$ which isn't that bad considering i live in toronto. did anyone else hear about this?
vendetta_revived
I THINK I saw their notepads with pictures of their "up and coming" herbal shisha a while back, but had no idea that they are in the market already.
Chreees
Yeah, I've heard about it. But didn't know it had hit the market yet. Congrats on your local shop getting it; I know all you smoke is herbal so that's a huge plus for you. You've definitely gotta let us know how it is! I'd try it out. And I concur...despite their somewhat not-up-to the mark quality control, AF is still pretty damn tasty!
herbalsmoke
Yup its a 200 gram tin, and i took it with a webcam cause it was late at night for me and i was to lazy to set up my camera
herbalsmoke
I just opened up the inside package to put all of the shisha in the tin. At first i was really surprised because it looked so dry, but when i mixed it up it was decently wet cause all the juices were in the bottom. This is a really weird cut, i've never seen any herbal that looked like this. I'll take pictures and smoke it when i get home from school to tell you guys how it is. herbalsmoke
Okay before anyone says anything, I know i'm triple posting >< To start off i think the base for this shisha may be flower leaves or tea leaves or something. The smell has a strawberry smell and it smells really nice, but you can smell the underlying tea or something. I packed a bowl of this in a normal mod bowl with 1 3kings. Instantly i got huge clouds and one coal seemed to be enough. The taste, taste like nothing compared to how it smells. I don't know is it because i packed it to loosely or something. It just taste like i was smoking tea, and my friend smoking it with me said it tasted like flowers. If this was a strawberry shisha i give taste 0/10 if it was a tea or flower shisha i give it a 10/10 Next time im going to try to pack it alot tighter and maby that will help, because it definitely smells like strawberries
Bawhee
AF tobacco generally doesnt smoke well when packed tight so I wish you good luck with that, maybe the herbal is different, also AF strawberry is nothing like strawberry either

Don't say no, or we're gonna have to take it outside, you and me! @Herbalsmoke: What flavours of regular AF do you have coming?
herbalsmoke
I don't have any AF coming, i tried a orignal AF orange and i almost threw up. But i threw up when i smoked evolution orange and hydro orange too. Me and orange shisha we don't get along. I have some fumari blueberry muffin and starbuzz blue mist coming. That's my only problem with herbal. I wouldn't recommend packing it tight, as there's probably so much glycerin in it, it'd just burn like hell. I'd recommend fluffing it very fluffy. That should work.
ChicagoRSX
Only herbal I tried why Hydro, and I wasn't very fond of it, I was trying the whole, healthy alternative to tobacco....now I'm on a Tangiers kick...see the dark road I went down here? (You will probably love blue mist, easily one of my favs, I just picked up 250 of it for $10.

Sugarcane (what is used in all except 1 or 2 herbals) is responsible for cases of mesothelioma. Technically, if you're going to smoke anything out of a hookah, tobacco is by the healthiest. You technically filter out all the carcinogens, tar (if any...off topic.. does Tangiers have any tar?), and CO when you inhale, therefore you're technically only inhaling pure flavor, along with the nicotine. Chreees
TAR is created by combustion if I recall correctly, not an actual substance present in the tobacco... Since hookah tobacco is not burned but is instead cooked, there is little to no TAR, I'd say.
Fusion
Aww, that's too bad strawberry wasn't that strawberry-ish, I had high hopes when I saw the thread title. Hopefully we can get some more reviews on other flavors. And I had no idea they were working on an herbal line and will keep an eye out for it, so far the only decent herbal I've tried is Herbal Hydro
ChicagoRSX
Pretty sure this has been discussed at great length, hookah tobacco doesn't have/produce any tar due to the fact it is cooked, not burned.
herbalsmoke
I only smoke alot of the herbal because in toronto it' hard to find any tobacco shisha unless i'm willing to pay 15$ for 50grams of nakla or something. I also heard that the lemon herbal fakher is really good. Im going to try the strawberry again soon, and possibly pack it a different way or something. Because when i smell it, the strawberry is there, i just dont taste it.
Floataround
Hmm..maybe it needs to be treated in the same way Tangiers is in order to get its flavor? Just a side thought..
