subhuman2178
one of my hoses has become somewhat clogged... im assuming because of the buildup of resin from teh smoke and tobacco. how do i go about cleaning my hoses?
Ain Soph Aur
smack the hose on somethign solid a half dozen time and blow really hard through it. Repeat if necessary.
gunsboy
Is it washable? If yes then just wash it, if no. Then you might ruin it, but what I did is that I put very hot water throught it for like 3-4 minutes. Then I used cold water and then I just put it close to some heat source to dry quickly. It worked for a couple of my non-washable hoses.
subhuman2178
im not sure if its washable its just the hose that came with my hookah... it had wooden ends and a black rubber-like hose... ribbed and such.
unleashtheclown
I've never had success cleaning hoses, they always get gunk in my mouth after I clean them. I've been using vinyl hoses with my hookah because they're easy to clean, You can see how clean they are, and dry fully in minutes.
ghostofdavid
Those plastic hoses work really nice for being washable. They are usually around 7-10 dollars and are completely washable. I use those with my two hose QT.

D15L
i hate it when you wash the hoses and when you go blow the remaining water out there are water bubbles that are trapped, and no matter how hard or how much you wack the hose it won't come out, pisses the hell outta me when i am taking a pull and i hear the gurgle of the trapped water bubbles
skiracerj1
before i got my washable what i would d is run a bunch of hot water through it and then go out to my air compressor and blow and 115 psi through it, assuming you dont have access to a compressor, just run water through it and then run down to your local service station and use their air machine, it dries out the hose fast enough that rust doesnt really form to badly, I just cut that hose open and found surprisingly little rust (most of which is from water coming from too much water in the base). Sonthert
What also happens is that glycerine reflux builds up in the wooden wet parts. Since glycerine has a negligible vapor pressure at atmospeheric pressure/temperature, its buildup is constant and expands the wood, clogging it and perhaps splitting it. No solution, unless the hose is washable.
