Floataround
So, I was just wondering which the forum likes better, flats or cubes. You can also share why if you choose to. See Poll at the top! I just made the switch and ordered a box of both so I will give my opinion in a week or so. Hassouni
Cubes, not as scorchy. They're called CocoMazaya now
Stuie
Cubes. You can get the Original CCN Cubes at H-S I smoked both and they do seem to be slightly different formulas. I would stick with CCN over CCM
Chreees
Cubes. Perfect heat management in most situations, I think.
Fusion
I tried Cocos for the first time ever yesterday, in cube form. I loved it and was interested in trying flats, but it looks like cube is the way to go so I'll stick with those.
Stuie
I have a box of flats. I use them to split on my crown micro phunnel
A13lackFish
I prefer cubes personally, easier to maneuver and manage heat from my personal experience.

grock
I vote cubes. I havent tried flats, but they are more expensive, for less weight of coal. I cant really justify doing it. Plus, if I need flats, I whip out the saw and start cutting cubes in half. It takes around 3-5 seconds to saw a coal clean in half. Problem solved. Question for anyone who actually has tried flats. As I said, both boxes are 108 pieces. Yet, arent flats half the size of cubes?? So, does this mean that you are paying more money, for half the product? Thats the main reason I havent tried flats yet.

[/quote] The flats are wider than cubes, and quite a bit thicker than half of a cube. Boxes seem to weigh the same also, but the flats box does seem slimmer than the cubes box. grock
Very interesting, good to know. I might actually have to check them out. Still pretty satisfied with my cubes though, cant really find a reason to switch.
Floataround
I should get mine Wednesday, and I am excited to start using those and a wind cover. I really dont think their is much else I can do to enhance my experience at this point! I feel like I will be using flats for my Nak and Zag, and cubes for everything else. Or it might not even matter. Who knows..
vendetta_revived
I've not tried either, but I prefer flats, possibly because I am flat out drunk. Hope it helped.
