Let Me Share With You What I Love To Do...

This past summer my live production class did a four-camera shoot in Nashville. We all helped out with the shoot, whether it was running camera or pulling cable. I ran the close-up cam. So most of the closeups you see that look like they are from the far back of the room, that's me. Anyway, the entire show is now edited and I'm happy with it. Now I am in the process of going through and cutting out clips of each performance to upload on YouTube and share with you guys and others- potential employers perhaps, and lovers of NAMM and the show every year. Check it out, this is my first clip uploaded. This is my favorite performance of the night:

Only 19 more clips to go. :P

We shot another show the very next night that was a competition between 5 (if I recall correctly) different guitar players. I may cut up that one as well and post them. I'm not too pleased with the quality of it, however, because the production company whose equipment we used had some technical issues in recording the cameras and whatnot. Aspect ratios/formats are weird. It just came out looking weird in general. Had a lot to do with the terrible lighting as well. Anyway, I may cut it up after I finish uploading all of these 20 clips...

Let me know what you think. I will post them as I upload them.

Well regardless of you thinking it turned out weird, I think it turned out great! Well done. :)

Not this show. This show turned out good. The show that turned out weird is the competition one that I may or may not cut up into clips and upload.

But thanks. :)

Great work man! Is it just me, or is it not synchronized? at 0:49 I can see the drummer but I hear him before I see him.

It's definitely synchronized... I can't even catch what you're talking about, haha. But yes, these were synced by me matching all of the cameras to one exact frame of sound.

Was I the only one read the thread title by Chris and thought....

...dear God don't let this involve a jar of peanut butter, lava lamp and a documentary on spores?

... or something along those lines?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Good Job Chris, I like it!!!!

I noticed it too... Right at the beginning in fact. He's hitting the hi-hat but the sound comes a fraction of a second later...

Really good sound quality though. And some pretty sweet camera angles. Good job!
these guys know how to jam.

Greg- it must be an error in the audio mix. We had quite a few troubles with it, to be honest.

Pat- I'd love to if I were closer!

I was more worried about something with mayonaise, rubber sheets, and shaved squirles.

So I guess I forgot to share with you dudes the final vid for the music video I shot a few weeks ago:

Just yesterday we did YET ANOTHER music video involving zombies... It was a blast, but very tiring. Running all over the woods with a horde of zombies , two "runners," and two dudes with cameras. Oh, and a "pond zombie." That's going to be VERY interesting to see in the final vid. I'll post it here once my buddy finishes the final cut. Btw, this next video the band is pretty much heavy metal, and is going to be a bit different than the vid above. ;)

Zombies? They looked like typical MTSU students to me.

Great job!!
And a very good song, too.

Lulz. They were actually typical Belmont students.

Thanks!
