Coyote
The idea came up in another post and I thought it warranted a thread topic. Myas are machined and so replacement parts fit easier. KMs are handmade so finding something with perfect fit can be a challenge. I'm thinking that a Mya needs to have parts replaced more often than a KM does and so you would end up paying more for a MYA than you would a KM in the long run. I could be totally off base in this logic so what are your experiences? Personally the only think I have had to replace on my current KM is a grommet a BB. momentum
other than grommets I haven't had to replace anything with either hookah, though I think I might need a new purge on my QT. overall I don't think there's really a difference in long term cost. My mya's have held up just as good as my Km's
MichaelLCP
Both my MYA's have held up great. Never had to replace a part on either. One I've had for 2 years, the other one year. Though on a KM I don't really see any parts needing to be replaced. Other than the whole thing eventually.
S3cretz
There's a reason why most high end lounges carry km's. And qt's. Kms last forever. But there's no better value for money than a QT. Even if it breaks replacing it is a cakewalk. My money is on km for average durability vs cost.(only thing youll really ever have to replace is the vase and maby a ball bearing) But maya has the QT wich wins if were looking at any single hookah. Stuie
Never had a problem with KM or Mya needing replacement parts...yet. Washing out a couple of my KMs though water gets in them. Only one I have left that does is my sig Ice. Which is why I love my OG Tri and Kamaja wheat
Floataround
I cant say that I have really had to replace any parts of any of my hookahs, but then again I have not been dealing with them for that long. I will say, yea, its hard to find parts for a non mya, case in point with the grommet issue I am dealing with right now with my Awlad Sarhan. The was to big, the size down was far to small, and now I ordered some of the thin silicone types to stack on and hope that works. It can be a pain. Chreees
So far I have not had to replace any parts on any of the KMs or Myas I have owned. It's all about taking good care of your stuff, really. I've always said, take care of your pipes and they'll take care of you!

Epoch
Both are top of the line stuff. My KMs and Myas have all taken fair beatings, and they all still work great. Never had to replace anything on either...
