grock
I recently got my KM in the mail, and I am absolutely in love with it. It is enormous compared to the hookahs I am used to. That brings me to my next point, I can competently clean all my hookah supplies, but cleaning the stem of this tri-metal is real tricky. is there any way to disassemble it at all or break it down? It doesnt come close to fitting it in my sink. Thanks
Stuie
Nope. You need a stem brush or make one.
Epoch
I use a cup to dump water down the stem of bigger hookahs.

Rani
I take mine in the shower to clean the longer stems. Works like a charm. 'Rani
Chreees
Rub a dub dub, in the tub... I hardly ever use a stem brush. Just run hot water down the stem for a minute, and through the hose port and purge (with the cap and bearing removed prior to bringing it in to the tub). Really the only time I ever used a stem brush was on my KM when it was filthy when I got it. It's an old one, and I got it second-hand from a guy who got it from Tangiers in SD. He had never cleaned it and it reeked of K-Cherry cause that's all he smoked out of it. Took tons of soaking and scrubbing to get that sucker cleaned. But now that it is, it only takes running water through it after every smoke to keep it nice and cleaned. Best of luck man.
S3cretz
When I soak it in vinegar and lemon juice I usually chuck the larger things in ultra heavy duty garbage bags with the mixture works like a charm. Do note normal garbage bags will disintegrate you really need ultra heavy duty.

herbalsmoke
Yup, when i got my KM trimetal i had no idea how to clean it. It didnt fit in my sink at all. So i brought it upstairs to my tub run water through it, sometimes hot water and a tiny bit of soap. Dry it all off with a towel to finish off =)

A13lackFish
Large stem brush, invest in a big thing of salt, rubbing alcohol 90% or above, and dawn dish soap. Use the brush for the stem with hot water (i usually put a skoshe of dawn on the brush and use the shower to do it) and then for the base use salt, rubbing alcohol, dawn, and hot water mix. Fill mid way then put your hand over the top and shake it around good to pull the random gunk and clean the sides, then flip, rinse, repeat, until there is no more bubbles. Itll keep you hookah smelling fresh and clean and smoking like a champ
littlec
Shower + soap + large brush = winning, dont submerged it in the tub KMs tend to have all sorts of little cracks and holes that water loves to get into but doesn't want to get out. Coyote
I just rinse it every few days with hot water, sometimes I use soap in the base and use a brush scrub out the stem with water and lemon juice...
atalanta
With all the people cleaning their KMs in the tub, maybe just make the tub a giant hookah? LOL
