mushrat
good point neff. Anyways, those that have been here a few years have seen this cycle many times before. And we've seen posts where people talk about the cycle Just hang loose, hang out, and something usually comes along soon enough without forcing it. And if that doesn't work fast enough we can always pick a fight with someone.

atalanta
aren't threads supposed to diverge? I had a chem teacher in HS that would so go off track it was unbelievable. Instead of taking notes in class, I would take notes on how he diverged - what he started with, all the different threads he went off on, and how he ended. A couple of the forums I'm on are "not a lot of innovation". I mean, really, aside from new finishes or colors, a bead is basically a bead, right? Now the body mod forums are kind'a interesting what with the implants and all (check out ocular implants or ocular tattooing - eeeewwwww). And true crime, well there's no limit to the depravity of people.

[/quote] Yeah I concentrated on Philosophy and Religious studies in HS and then minored in Religious Studies in college so most of my teachers did this. I had a physics teacher in HS who co-taught with my favorite history teacher for the AP class called "Science, History, and Belief" which melded modern science, history, sociology, and theology. We would sit down and start doing a case study on Robert Oppenheimer and end up talking about triangles and spiderwebs and the brownies the physics teacher was eating when Kennedy got shot. Everything is connected.

atalanta
Now, if this question didn't have to do with smoking, I'd'a posted it in Non Sequitors in General. BF has this theory that if the smoke fills the pipe and touches the water, it will be harsh. Now I thought harshness was a matter of heat managment (which I still am perfecting since when I'm done the shisha is a burnt puck on the bottom of the foil. Does make it easy to clean the bowl though ). So is it a matter of smoke on the water or fire in the sky? (and is a puck really bad? remember, shallow egyptian with 4 1/2 holes - one hole is only partly clear)
joelhookah
It's hookah. Once something has been around for 400 years, there is really not much innovation. As for the forum, like life and most things, it's an ebb and flow relationship.

I don't see how one can smoke a hookah without the smoke touching the water.
