Volcom8234
This is from my experience...1. Yes, they taste alot better2. Yes, they don't start up with a light of a lighter easily, but with a stove top or a butane torch, it's not much longer and well worth it
PeaceinIsrael
Are you saying lemon woods+goldens or naturals/quicklites in general? cuz Ive heard Golden quicklites are quite clean burning.

Sonthert
Golden Japanese Coals vs. lemonwood coals. Jap coals light easier, they have less background flavor, and probably have less sulfur. Lemonwood coals are cheaper.
Ain Soph Aur
Jap coals may be easier to light, but lemon woods don't have questionable binding agent.Jap coals pieces are uniform. Lemon woods come in all shapes and forms. And they are fun to cut up to your favorite shapes and thickness. Also lemonwood coals are a heck of alot cheaper. As for flavour I have no idea. I've never tasted anything but shisha using romman lemon woods.

Ruddigger
What is this questionable binding agent?
Sonthert
Good question, but it has to be stuck together with something (glue-like) if it is reprocessed and/or extruded.
