vendetta_revived
Being Indian, I could already pronounce most of them correctly, with the exception of the ones that had pauses in them, like Khalil Mamoon and mu'assel, and it was good to learn the variations of those words in different places and their meaning. I really enjoyed the video. Thanks!

Hellz
Meh, I'm still the guy who disregards all native phrases or specialty shit. It's my fuckin pipe, and tobacco. Also this drives the people nuts at starbucks whenever I go and ask for a "large black coffee" That really stirs them up. But seriously, good video, informative, even though I'm all whatevs
atalanta
Also this drives the people nuts at starbucks whenever I go and ask for a "large black coffee" That really stirs them up.
So true! I ordered an x-large coffee the other day (meeting friends there otherwise I'd not go to starbucks) and she said, "We have Vento." "Is that x-large" "No. We only have small, medium, and large." "Fine. I'll take a large." I am not learning starbucks-eese just to get a cup of crappy coffee. N-E-Way Thanks, Hass, for the video. I'm pretty good with the pronunciation thing but it's nice to see where I'm right and where I need to make a change.
You must mean a "Venti" They have a new one that is basically a liter of fuckin coffee. It's called the trenta. For all you non-starbucks goers, it's Tall = small. Grande = medium. Venti = large. Trenta = liter of cola. BUT, what i really came here to say is that after watching this video and being amazed at how wrong I've been saying everything, I already forgot everything by the time I started to write this post. king_lunchb0x
Lol I think I have been saying most of them wrong. What gets me is those kind of Flem sounds you make on certain words mostly with kh or hk or even h sounds... ive already switched to saying mu'assal instead of shisha for tobacco. However I'm not sure how well it works for all types, tangiers nak,Af,Sb because i thought it meant tobacco with honey. But I guess its better then calling them "pipe" instead Edited October 29, 2011 by king_lunchb0x

Chreees
Great video, Hass! And Joe, you know how hard of a time I have remembering my usual order from Starbucks? Venti Cafe Vanilla Frappucino. Dunno why it's so hard for me to remember, but these weird size names Starbucks forces upon you really rattles my brain. They do it to make you feel you are at a premium place. Pure marketing technique. I find it annoying as hell. But damn do I love those Cafe Vanilla Frappucinos...
