Do you disconnect your doorbell during halloween so you dont have the droves of children seeking free candy comming to your door bothering you? Or do you simply go to the bar and wait for it to be over? or what do you do?

If anybody actually turns off their doorbell... shame on you. I always hated the people that were obviously home when you rang the doorbell and didn't answer. At least put up a sign that says "no candy" or "ran out of candy" if you really don't wanna give away candy.

You know that scene from Big Daddy where Adam Sandler has to go into the house and force the dickhead not giving out candy on Halloween to give his "son" treats such as Life cereal and CD's?

Well I hope that happens to you and your Life Cereal Box if you don't go buy $10 worth of candy to make some little kid overjoyed for one evening.... Geez

I live in apartments... No kids come around here for candy.

Thats not why kids won't come to your place for candy.

I found it annoying this year.. I live in a campus house and most of the houses on my street are college students so no one is giving candy and the kids still come in droves... and we cant turn off our porch light to make it look like we are not home. We were going to get candy to but the town made some regulation that makes it the day before for some reason and we had no idea...

Had to take BF's car and drop it off at the dealership for repairs so that nixed any trick or treats anyway. Though, when I got home, I thought it was a bit odd that hardly anybody on my street had their porch lights on. Used to be the whole street would be lit up. There was someone around the corner doing a haunted house, I could hear the screams. Maybe next year, I usually work at home on Tuesdays. Or try to get my friend to do the haunted house again, she inherited this HUGE old house from her dad (can I say I like to house sit for her?)
