DrSmokes
Well...for starters, within a week I was able to break 2 hookah bases. One was a freak occurrence where I go to set my hookah on the counter next to the sink and right as I set it down, it breaks in half (horizontally). I didn't set it down hard or anything....just snapped in half. Luckily (or unlucky in retrospect), I had another hookah base to a slightly bigger hookah that I could use. I use it maybe 2 times before it breaks. This one breaks because I went to go clean it and picked it up by the stem (stupid me) and started to walk as my other hand went to grab the base...well the base falls and SHATTERS all over my carpet with hookah water all over the place. Like this thing exploded...by the way it broke, I would have guessed I dropped it from a 2 story building. The funny thing is (well you may think it's funny, I don't), I put in an order at 5starhookah for a new base right before my 2nd base broke. I emailed them and asked if I could modify the order. They said "yeah, just call before 3pm tomorrow". All is good since I live on the east coast and they are on the west coast...so I had plenty of time. Well...instead of calling them, I emailed them like a total retard and they never modified the order so I only have 1 base. NOW, I get my shipment in today, go to place my hookah into the new base...and guess what...it doesn't fit! There is some extra rubber on my grommet so I wanted to shave it a bit and come to find out, my grommet somehow got torn. Easy fix right? Just apply a lil super glue/gorilla glue on it and it should be good to go. Where's my super glue?! NO FREAKIN CLUE! It is always sitting by my desk and it is gone. Oh, and to top off all this great stuff...I decided to rig up my own base with a juice bottle last week. Well....the hookah decided to just tip on it's own dropping my coals on the ground. I was quick in picking up one of the coals but could not find the other coal for the life of me. I could smell the damn carpet burning but couldn't find it anywhere. It had grown a pair of wheels and rolled its ass 3+ feet from the hookah, around and behind my paper towels. Needless to say, the coal burned right through it and now I have a huge hole in my carpet. I'm hoping that the maintenance guy will have some extra scrap carpet so I can fix it...but guess what...can't fix it until I find the damn glue!!! Bawhee
Dude, use paper towels instead of rubber and you should be fine, just moisten them and wrap around as thick as it needs to be and youre set
A13lackFish
Well, just think it could always be worse... The coal could have landed on your shoe?
Chreees
I second what Bawhee said about fixing your gasket situation. Shit happens, man. Sucks, but we must move on. What kind of vases were they? How do you like your new vase?
Floataround
After just having grommet issues myself, I can also say the paper towel method works great. If you find it to much of a hassle though order some of these on your next shipment. Works great.
