Jobs didn't think flash was a standard that would disappear, he was pissed that they wouldn't bow to him on pricing and refusing to give up source code. Adobe and Apple have had bad blood for years. EDIT: Also, I've heard many times over that that was the reason Jobs/Apple hated Flash, but their reason is that it bogs down the performance of the device, so they decided to not make it compatible. If the latter is true, then I understand- Would you rather release a product with Flash and have the complaints roll in, or release it without and avoid it? HTML5 is supposedly much more efficient, and they have made it open source so that it can hopefully become the new standard. Now I know nothing about all this Flash vs. HTML5 stuff, but I can say that Flash is most of the time the source of the problem when stuff crashes on my computer and the such (for PC and Mac). Microsoft went through this with Adobe as well. They went along, but they also created Silverlight. [/quote] Lol, yeah, I hear HTML5 is a lot easier to work with and easier for developers. I don't know anything about it, though. When you say spit in the face, you mean it was like Apple said, "Fuck your Adobe Premiere, we have Final Cut Pro"? If so, yeah, that's pretty much the case, haha. [/quote] Haha, yeah. Like I said before in whatever the other thread was, I only know one guy who uses and loves Premiere. FCP is definitely a lot more popular. For now, at least. FCP X may change all that and Premiere could very well take over. Lots of people pissed off about X, myself included. Yeah, when I downloaded Windows Office 2011 for Mac and saw Silverlight, I was like, "Wtf is this?" I never bothered to find out... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
