Recommended Posts

Locally the only shisha available seems to be Hookah Hookah 50g for $6 ... this seems like a huge rip off, but maybe i'm wrong.p.s. the jamaican rum smells horrible. and the butterscotch, surprisingly good.plus their hookahs run about $80-90 for a 22-24" traditional egyptian...

the local place I get my shisha sells 250gr. boxes of Nahklah flavors for $6.50 or $6.95. I think they have Al Waha for the same price. BTW, Deep Ellum is where alot of the younger hellraiser crowd in Dallas hangout. There are a lot of clubs down there. It's not for everybody for sure.
i'm currently living in fresno, ca
my apologies. i didn't know hookah-hookah was distributed widely except online. but i'd suggest picking up whatever smells appealing to you...it would appear not all of their flavors are the best! :S

haha yeah in the shop the guy working there like opened up the jar, took a whiff... made this really weird face then put it down on the counter as if to say "smell it" so i picked it up, i read the name, and i took a nice big sniff and was like WOAH that's gross... that is NOT appetizing at all...

I buy nahklah 250g for 5.00 locally. I buy boxes of three kings 40mm coals for 19.99 per box there too. At the lounge I can get al fahker. Another shop about 45 mins away has al amir for 12.00, al waha for 10.00, and havana for 15.00 for 250 grams. I wish There were more places locally or if they started selling it at grocery stores like cigarettes lol

My recommedations for anyone having a tough time locating reasonable priced shisha is to turn to your phone book (if you live in an urban environ).Look under "grocers" and see if you can find something that looks arabic in name or hints to middle eastern wares. The word "International" seems to be a good keyword.Anyway.... call em up before you go and ask.The reason for this is you will usually come up with a place that has shisha at the right price. 50g's of Nakhla at these places should run around $1.50-$1.79 and 250g boxes around $5. You'll probably be delighted to find theres at least a offering of everything else, like a hoses or bowls and coals. Not usually with the selection you find online, but at least you have an emergency source and cheap prices on cheap shisha. The other advantage is that you sometimes find stuff you dont see online. (different is good)
