Interesting question I came across today, so I thought id post it here to see yours guys answer. (sorry for not using the proper "you're" in the title)

Assume you are locked in a room with a perfect clone of your current self. There are no doors, no windows, no cracks. That clone will completely disappear in one hour, and then you will be released from the room by, let's say, robots. No one will see what you do, no one will ever know what happens, no one on the outside world will ever even know that you were locked in a room with your clone for an hour. What would you do with your clone? Edited by Teganv

Can I keep the clone for a while (a few years would be nice, actually, until I retire in my old age) and have them be able to leave the room so they can just go to work for me while I stay home and chill on TC and smoke?

I guess I'd try and argue with myself and see where it goes. a big part of a discussion between two people is trying to make the other person completely understand all the subtleties of what you're communicating; if someone already knew exactly where I was coming from, it could make for either a very fluent conversation or a very boring one...

I would image that would be hard. It is your clone, which mean up until the point that he is there right next to you, he shares all the same feelings, emotions, memories, thoughts as you. That argument would probably not go very far.

I did think about that actually; but he would only be a clone, not a mirror image of everything I was doing and thinking that very instant...or would he? (wasn't defined that way). if so, my game just changed ... ;)

No he isn't a mirror image as you, just a clone. So as I said before he shares the same feelings, emotions, memories, thoughts as you, but you could argue with him. I don't think too much would come out of it but you could still do it. One thing though is that, although he is your clone the second he is created and is there in physical form, he starts to think for himself, and form his own thoughts. So yes, I suppose that could work.
