Hookahnoob
I got one just like it. It was 14 bucks at a smoke shop in San Diego. I got it home and thought it would be a cool outside/beach hookah bowl but the damm thing doesn't fot either of my hookas. I now need to order a different grommet for my hookah. I haven't ever used a wind or smoked in a windy area but it seems like it will work out good. I have yet to try it out
Glottis
I may be wrong, but I think yashman uses / likes that kind. We'll see.
DizzyGuy
I think MrGuy has one too... I've been interested in eventually trying one of these. I think this would be great for smoking in the car
Hookahnoob
Humm.. Smoking in the car sounds like a bad idea..How do you tend to the coals? If you just let them sit wont it get burned and harsh?
DizzyGuy
I know, those thing have occured to me... but some people have done it. If it was a fesible idea, that would be friggin awesome. Settin out on a road trip and smoking for a good bit :/
Volcom8234
Bowl works great, the cover latches so incase there is an accident, no coals everywhere and once you know how much coal you want to use without burning it, then you set the coals in, close the lid and smoke it til there is nothing left
malakas
Is the thing easy to clean?
Calcartman
Thats what I use; but i paid 8 dollars for it in black at a local store.Honestly, it looks 100% identical to what I bought.
Lakemonster
good product...... use less coal than normal, tho.See if you can find one of those fully white opaque chinese grommets.. sometimes they dont fit well with the thinner grommets. Would have saved kims carpet [/quote] Not to mention mine. I've always wanted to try smoking whilst driving around, but I'm too afraid of what would happen if I got pulled over. Bleeding_Heart1
I have smoked in my car. It got really harsh, but i did forget to takeinto effect the windcover=less coal thing. I smoked while on the interstate. Its not that hard...
MrGuy
i was thinking about getting one, never got round to it.what's heat management like with it? isn't it a bit inconventient to ash the coals? and doesn't the clip get hot (could cause problems when ashing...)
Calcartman
Mrguy; the clip doesn't get hot but the cover does.Heat management for me is cake now with it. Basically I light one coal, toss it on, close the cover. When it starts to peter out; open up and ash it, light new coal.By the time new coal is ready old one is still cooking but small.Leave cover open (to avoid burning it), and smoke a bit, then close the cover, repeat until smoke peters out.It works really really well for me. Scalliwag
we need to know a cheaper source then
xpimpitox
i thought about it but that is way too expensive for a bowl...just put foil over your coal acts like a ghetto wind cover. i only did this once (i was drunk hehe) and it seemed to have worked cuz the smoke was so incredibly thick unless my drunk mind was playin tricks on me
Volcom8234
haha, drunk and hookah is great. No matter what is mixed in there, it tastes great.
Calcartman
hmm; i cant find a cheaper price online; which is quite strange.Social Smoke is the cheapest at 12.95 - our discount + shipping.Maybe the guy at the shop sold it too cheap? I have my reciept and I paid 8.95 + tax for it.
mushrat
They were cheaper on ebay, but I screwed that up for us a few month ago... The Latch DOES get hot. Also, mine came with the screen in upside down so it didnt close propery. Make sure your screen is nestled properly. It works fine just closed, without being latched btw. skiracerj1
as for the hookah in the car thing, its possible, but you need a copilot. When me and three buddies roadtriped from colorado to tennessee and back over a weekend we had one going in the car the whole time, nothing like blowing a smoke ring at a cop as you pass him. We just had someone hold the hookah between their legs, and none of us were the owner of the car so we figured what the hell, lol. Good thing that cop didnt get pissed though, turns out our plates were somewhat less than legit, oh well, good times

I drive back n fourth from Vegas to Anaheim quite often and it would be nice to have a hookah going the whole way, it would make the trip much more bearable. It looks like a QT is in my future here
