squidget
My MYA frost style pyramid base is cracking. The crack is inside the glass and is spreading. It's about a half inch away from going all the way around the neck. 3 weeks ago it was only on one side. Should I replace the base or should I just switch glass/hookahs all together? Is it common for Mya glass to crack like this?
Bawhee
I dont know how common it is but it looks like it might just snap pretty soon at this rate... I think getting a new base is your best bet unless you WANT to get a whole new hookah
squidget
Yeah, I know it needs replacing but I was wondering if its worth it to replace with the same type? (ie, will it break again?) or change glass all together.
Skoozle
Is there no other base style that you want more than that one? If you have had your eye on another vase, this is the perfect excuse to get it. How long did this vase last you?
Bawhee
if this type of vase is prone to cracking like this or not, there is no harm in looking around a bit and picking something you like
Epoch
Poor thing... Mya vases have always been tough as hell. Sorry to hear this!

I like the base a lot - the glass is really thick and the bottom is level. I'm going to miss it. I have a KM in storage that I wlll switch to til I get a new base for the mya. Going to look around locally to see if I can pick something up

Chreees
A Mya QT vase I had cracked on the inside. Was good for a while atleast that I know of- sold it to Fineout and he sold or gave it to his buddy when he came home from Germany, so not sure what it's fate was. But that was the only vase I've had to crack on me.
