I may have a name....

Recommended Posts

Since my plan has been working toward a full service bar, deli, hookah place, we've stumbled on a possible name. The sandwiches will be kinda a build you own, being able to stack them with as much meat, cheese, etc as you are willing to pay for, kind of a sushi like check list for building a sandwich, Smoking Stack has been suggested.Guy relaxing on a couch, hookah hose in one hand, huge stacked sandwich in the other..perhaps a bottle of beer at his side for a logo...Whatcha think?

Eh, I like just Smoke Stack... Logo would work nicely. Another idea is something like... well, imagine a big red circle, like on a no smoking sign, with out the slash through the middle... and then a sandwich diagionally and then a hookah in the foreground

Well, hookah deli is cool, but not real...catchy.I'vr considered the Caterpillers Den and Bodes Bar and Deli. (unless you get my tatoos, you won't get that refrence either..but don't worry about it.... )Smoke Stack is just as good, and it does roll a little easier I will admit.
Or with a little change...Smoke N' StackSmokin' Stack
i definately agree that it would have to be one of these if it wasn't just the smoke stack... god the more i read the word "stack" the weirder it seems to me... so anyway... as far as the logo goes, i'd make it a bit more simple than all that guy with beer and hookah and sandwich thing... i mean take a look at most logos and you'll realize that simplicity is registers better than complexity in that department.

ye, the smoking stack makes me think of chimneys... which isn't really a great connotation. i think delisha is quite good. i think a good name could come up playing with the words deli and shisha.

Smoke Shack?Or go with something cool and Egyptian, like Pharoah's Diner or Oasis Cafe or Tut's Palace or the Blue Nile (I know it doesn't go to Egypt) or something. Those are kinda cheesy, but I just made them up. Maybe there's a good name somewhere along those lines.TYLER

How about just "Xerxes" (Persian king and pharaoh of Egypt (585-546 BC)I always thought that was a neat looking name and you can always have a lowercase/ less bold description of service beneath such as "mediteranian lounge and deli"

I like halon's idea of smoke shack.....for me when I hear smoke stack I tend to think of industrial things and not delicious sandwiches.I think a great idea would be to have combos with the hookah included. Like a sandwich, drink, and hookah all bundled up. For example your #1 could be a “Hookah Club” you get a club sandwich with choice of drink and choice of shisha. Then for like a super size kind of deal you could do an upgrade to a premium shisha.

i dont like smoke stack. it does sound like a barbecue.i kinda liked the caterpillar diner. but its not really a diner from what you described.i liked the name oasis cafe. or call it something like the blue narguile deli. or something of that ilk.

Since you want to draw in people that are not familiar with hookahs, but at the same time indicate you have hookahs, naming convention could be tricky. It needs to make sense to everybody that it is at least a food place and the type of food to expect i.e deli
Nevermind that Xerxes ordered an ocean to be beaten for drowning soldiers. ;)
I'm not saying he was a genius, just had a cool name besides he was just an precursor to the modern day redneck that hits walls and shit when they are mad at their girlfrieds ya know?

No, I think it adds to Xerxes awesomeness. Also, I wanted to rename myself Xerxes. He's mentioned a few times in the Bible when Israel's elite had been exiled into other cultures. Of course, there were several different Kings of antiquity named Xerxes...
