Sahara Smoke Hookahs - Discuss

Recommended Posts

So I got one since the base on my Mya finally gave out. So far I've smoked about 5 times and I dig it. I will probably do a formal review after another few weeks with it.
I have heard some negative rumblings here and there but nothing concrete. I'm curious
a)why you don't see more SS hookahs out there
b)what's the overall opinion of those that have them
c)why the no love?

oh and pics or it didn't happen

A lot of the bases are painted on the inside. I have seen them at lounges where the paint was gone where the stem inserts and where the water level is.

There were tons of people coming out complaining of rusting all throughout the stem.

It's been a while. Let us know how it is working for you a few months from now.

Ive seen many many complaints about rust so be shure to blow some air through the hookah with your shishavac every time your done washing

I love the look of the Sahara Smoke stuff. As far as modern style hookahs go, I prefer their looks to Myas a lot of the time. I'm just reluctant to buy them because of the rusting reputation.

so far no rust - the downstem is different material compared to the rest of the hookah (stainless steel over whatever this smoked chrome is). Aesthetically I like the modern look and it smokes effortlessly. In a few months or so I will post a long term review. Maybe they've change? Time will tell.

Someone here said they changed how they make them so supposedly no more rust now (use better quality materials- think Econo Mya). Back when I first joined the forum, it seemed like every other post was "My Sahara Smoke hookah is rusting! HALP!" Hope they really have changed and yours treats you well. :)

I certainly look forward to a positive follow-up review. The world could use more quality-built modern style shishas.
