Allstar
So today I received a FS bowl. I decided I would give this a whirl. hehe. So upon the first look at it, it reminds me of a vortex bowl but it is shallower and the center is raised. I packed it tight with tang mimon and used 3 CH QL coals. This is all I have due to location in the world right now. The first few puffs were delightful. Smooth, flavorful, huge billowing clouds. Next came the small wispy clouds. I couldn't find a happy medium anywhere. I will say that throughout the hour and fifteen minutes I had solid flavor all the way through. I feel if I am going to get the same taste as a funnel (tang or hj) but bigger clouds this offers me nothing besides being a conversation piece. I am going to try again before a I post this and see if I can change anything to help this problem. More to come in a couple hours. Ok round two. I went with a hole pattern of one row right around the center (to funnel the smoke towards the center) and 4 QL coals this time. I also packed it light and fluffy. Monster clouds and great taste all the way through. I was guessing it would be harsh with four coals but it wasn't at all. All in all I will keep messing with this bowl to get the best out of it for the lowest cost per round. As of right now, I would lower the center a little bit to allow the coals to be closer to the tobacco. This will be a novelty bowl for me, at least for a while. As I see it, you have to decide what you want. I like the full flavor and monster clouds, but I am unwilling to use four coals every time I smoke. The wispy clouds (3 coals lots of holes) had an easy draw, lots of flavor but small clouds. The decision is yours if you decide this is a bowl for you. Sorry no video due to location you will have to wait a couple months for that.

Floataround
I love mine, and use it for just about everything except for Nak and Tangiers. I stick with my small phunnel for tangiers and my quality egyptian for nak. I cant say I tried to smoke Tangiers out of it, so I can not comment there, but I have smoked AF, Fantasia, and will comment on SB when I get my tin of LB in tomorrow. I got huge flavor and huge clouds, and a wide open draw from the bowl. I highly recommend it. I also would not lower the spire; I have yet to have a messy session or any air flow issues, which can happen with the vortex still.
littlec
Interesting review, I will be sure to play with the number of coals when I do mine.

squidget
Ill stick to my original Phunnel.
As much as I like trying new things, I have to agree with ol' mushy here. I use my phunnel for everything (SB, AF, Tang, Romman) except Nak which gets put in a crown classic. And maybe this is just me but the phunnel is so much easier to pack over a standard bowl. I either get airflow issues or juices down the stem. *bleck*
