DrSmokes
I tried looking through the search to see if this has been discussed...I know it's discussed randomly so I hope this isn't a double. How often do you thoroughly clean everything? I personally try cleaning out the vase every few smokes just to get the nasty old smoke smell out of it which I would think slightly contributes to the flavor. As for the pipe, I'll look in it to see how much is building up and give it a thorough cleaning. I just cleaned everything today but the last time I cleaned my pipe had to be around xmas. As for the hose, that's the most rare thing I clean...unless I smoke something out of one that I just didn't like, then I'll clean it out.
Tippertheteapot
I rarely have to clean my hose, my Razan does not tend to hold ghost flavors. But I tend to clean my hookah thoroughly once a week and I give my whole set up, aside from the hose, a small clean between sessions.
Stuie
I have a hookah set up for a few days. Then I thoroughly clean it and clean the hose. I boil my bowls about once a month. Polish stems whenever I feel they need them.

vendetta_revived
I run water through the shank and base after each session, and clean em with brushes+lemon juice once in a week or so. Sometimes, if I smoke something that ghosts the hell out of the stem, I clean it with hot water+lemon juice+baking soda, and if that doesn't get the smell out, I run some vodka through it. littlec
I change my water every day, scrub my bases about once every 4 sessions. Polish my daily brass pipes about once every 10-20 days are so. Bowls probably need to be cleaned more often but oh well. Hoses are rarely cleaned because I have them dedicated to range of flavors unless they are my nuhoses which I just use for whatever since they are so easy to clean on a whim. Skoozle
I ive the stem and base a good water and brush scrub after every session. That keeps them clean enough that I don't need to do a more intensive cleaning every X sessions.
rhineholt
I clean my junk at least once a day... oh, were talking about hookah. I get lazy...
ezxen
Usually about every other day forstem and base. As for the hose it depends on what I'm smoking are if I'm about to do a review
mustang67n
I try to rinse the stem and base every "bowl-lenght" so about 4/5 hours of smoke time. Usually ends up being ever 2 bowl-lenghts though. I never clean my hoses unless they're ghosting. Base and stem get scrubbings once every 2 weeks or so. Bowl gets rinsed and thats about it.. in 2 years of owning my tang small, i've boiled it once (i didnt know about this trick till recently) And when i did boil it, not much stuff came off, maybe I'll do this again and more often, but i doubt it. lol
Chreees
I rinse the shank and vase out with water immediately after I finish smoking. Bout it.

I would boil it 5 minutes, then scrub it with a brush. Finally it looked pretty good.
MichaelLCP
I rinse my vase and shank after smoking pretty much every session. I take a stem brush to my shank about every 3 times, or whenever I feel that it needs to be cleaned. I polish my shanks when they start to look like shit haha. Thats about it. As far as washing hoses, I have designated hoses for certain flavors, so I don't wash them often... Maybe once every few months.

The current hookah can all fit in the sink (comes apart) so I wash and scrub after every session. I don't understand about the boiling of the bowls though - I've been using a the same tangiers small for over a year now and it doesn't have anything on it that needs to be boiled off. I also blow (non washable) wash (washable) hoses after each session too.
Chreees
The only bowl I had to boil was one I got in a trade. It's from people letting their bowl sit there with the crust baked on for too long. If you wash your bowl after each session fairly quickly, you'll never have to scrub your bowls. They'll always look brand new.
KasbahBazaar
I always wash the bowl out, wash out my washable hose (I fill the sink with hot water, pull on the other end to get the water flowing, then let it siphon through the hose into the tub), then run hot water through the stem. About every 10 smokes I'll break out the brush set and give it a nice deep cleaning. Every other time I brush clean I use lemon juice and baking soda. EternalSoil
Meh... Clean it when I move it/take it somewhere. Usually clean it when shit starts growing in the base.
A13lackFish
After 3 sessions I do my stem, new water each time, bowl is cleaned with dish soap and hot water after each use. Hose unless ghosted, is almost never cleaned as it doesnt really bother me.

absalom
I do a quick cleaning after each use - rinse the stem and vase with a brush and a little mild soap, and of course clean the bowl out. it takes about five minutes.
