Hookah And Lasik

Recommended Posts

Hello forum,

I was just wondering how long I should wait to smoke my hookah after I have LASIK eye surgery done? I know I'll really want to smoke after, but I don't want to mess my eyes up. Any advice?

Thank you,

You'll want to take a day or two off after your surgery, I'm guessing. If the blurriness right after LASIK is anything like PRK, you won't want to do anything like packing a bowl or managing coals.

I'm sure health wise you'd be fine. Smoking was never brought up when I had my PRK procedure, so I can't see any reason why it would be a problem with LASIK.

Lol, thanks for the serious response to my troll post, Mavs! I won't be smoking for a couple days. Having it done this Friday, and I may smoke Sunday. Depends on how I feel (which I think I'll feel fine, since they told me I should be able to drive myself back the next day on Saturday for my check-up appointment).

Who wants to bet I could pack a bowl AND handle coals blind?

I wonder if there's anyone in the world who is blind and actually does smoke hookah...

You shouldn't be. There's nothing to be afraid of with the type I'm getting. It's bladeless, and he said the machine maps out millions of pinpoints on your eye and the laser is constantly compensating for the natural slight movements of your eye. What if your head jerks to the side all of a sudden? The machine immediately turns off, no damage done. The doctor can then turn the machine back on and it will resume from where if left off. They said it doesn't hurt a bit, just slight discomfort for 7 minutes per eye.

That's pretty cool, Mavs.

Iain, you're always drunk, so what's new...

Nate, I am no superhero. I am just an ordinary man.

So I'm at my appointment right now. Place has wifi. They just ran some tests on me. Also, they have taken out my eyeballs and Im typing this all while blind. Hopefully they give me my eyes back soon, because I'm not sure if I could do this all the time.
