I've been able to get around custom fees and taxes. Per box you'd pay like 30-40$ of customs. The hookah lounge I go to is considering to sell Fumari tobacco (the tobacco they use,) to the public at something close to 70$ per 250 grams or like 30$ per 100 grams. The reason why we find Nakhla for 15$ for 250 grams is because they basically go to the states, pick up tobacco and come back. I end up paying about 15$ for 250grams of Al Amir, shipping included. It's been awhile since I've ordered and I hear they're cracking down on the shipping companies but so far any store that uses USPS has been OK for me...

Alladins in sauga has some good home made herbal shisha, it isnt bad! and the oasis on vic. park has really good juice!!!

There is a store I think called Aswaq Al Muna in missassagua, it was selling AlFakher, but a friend of mine bought one and he said its expired and could be the fake kind. He smoked it once and he got so sick for a couple of weeks. He could not smoke shisha for a month after that. Alladin shisha sucks, they never clean their hookahs, Oasis is ok but too busy and there is a seating time limit.
Sounds like someone in canada needs to start making Shisha because they will make a boatload of cash.
It's not just shisha thats getting hit hard with a tax, its all tobacco. So if he wanted to start making it, would still have to pay an arm, leg and maybe a lung to bring in tobacco to make shisha.Just set up a shop close to the border, buy a vehicle suitable for smuggling ie large hidden compartments, and hope to never get caught ^_^

You need a good marketing/distrubution scheme and a good financial back and you will make alot of money selling wholesale tobacco. The tobacco that 99% of people smoke here is Nakhla Double Apple and when they think they are hardcore smokers, they smoke Nakhla Strawberries or Fruit Cocktail. People tend to think Nakhla is a premium shisha... I wish that there is AF and AA distributor here ..
