weslypipes
I'm about 5 months into my new found hookah hobby. I plan on making an order online next week when I get paid, and I wanna know some things you guys think I need in order to get the most out of hookah. I have 2 pipes. Ones a 'pumpkin' I believe. Ive seen people talking about it on here and it sounds like mine, except mine was a "Disco hookah" and it has these cheesy little led lights that flash colors. The other is one I can't find anywheres online. I looked all over it and it doesnt have any names on it or anything. My best hose would be the Tonic long handle. I use three king quicklights and I have a 2 mod bowls that came with the hookahs. (at least I think there mods) Shisha's I've tried: Fantasia- Margarita Cherry Cola Guava Breeze Cactus Breeze Speariment Pink Lemonade Millondollar Starbuzz- Blue Melon Blue Mist Sour Apple Sex on the beach Inhale: Bump n Grind
MichaelLCP
Maybe if you post pictures of your second pipe we can help identify it for you. Also look into getting a tangiers phunnel bowl and some tangiers to try. People around here seem to stick to Tangiers, Nakhla, Al Fakher... among others. Also look into getting some coconut coals like Razan Coals or perhaps Coconaras. They are way better than any QLs IMO, and most people will agree with me. Good luck! mustang67n
ok.. first upgrade I'd suggest is some form of phunnel bowl (preferably a tangiers because i love them) also an egyptian clay bowl would be a great upgrade from the mod bowls as far as tobacco, I'd suggest trying Al Fakher and Nakhla. and eventually try your hand at tangiers as it is pretty much epic Al Fakher is great for mixing and making your own unique flavor blends. Nakhla is a good unwashed more classic flavored tobacco IMO. as for coals. I'd definitely suggest switching to naturals, they take longer to light, and you'll need an electric coil burner to light them Razan, Coconara, and HJ's chronic hookah coals are some great nats. weslypipes
Could you light a natural with a torch lighter? I'll post a picture of it when I get my camera back. So a tangiers phunnel bowl. Are there any certain flavors of the Tangiers, Nakhla, and AF that you guys would recomend?
Skoozle
What do you like or dislike in what you already have. There is a wide variety of hookah products and your preference should dictate which direction you go.

Skoozle
Im guessing the breeze flavors have a little mint mixed in and you seem to like the sweeter flavors. If you want to do the whole journey, start off with some AF in an egyptian bowl. Try lemon with mint, grape with mint and watermelon. Then move up to Nak in the same egyptian bowl for a little more nicotine. At this point you will be able to reasonably pick flavors that you like with a little help from reading reviews. You can skip those two if you want to jump straight into Tangiers. Either way, start off with lucid Tangiers in a small Phunnel. If you want to save tobacco, you can try an alien Phunnel, but it is harder to pack and manage heat and the flavor wont be quite as good. I have heard that the flying saucer bowl is idiot proof but I haven't tried it. I think you would like Mimon, Indian Summer, Cactus Fruit, Static Starlight. king_lunchb0x
ok here is what i suggest: 1 buy Natural coals 2 buy a coil burner from walgreens to light ur new coals on. I bought one For 15$. Just need an outlet to plug in. 3. If u plan to smoke inside your house and you rent, i would highly recommend covering most of where you plan to smoke with rugs. 4.Try a new bowl. Eeryone always throws out tangiers phunnel. But that can wait. But crown phunnels are nice too. If u plan to buy a tangiers phunnel be sure to post where u buy from because some sites are don't have real tang phunnels. 5. Check around ur town. Their has to be some place that sells mu'assal and coals. 6.enjoy ur new hobby!

weslypipes
I buy my stuff from hookah-shisha.com. The only phunnel bowl they have is just called the 'Phunnel Hookah Bowl'. All the local shops just have quick-lights and fantasia tobacco. Hookah hasn't gotten to big in South Louisiana yet so the choices of things to buy are very limited. littlec
Make sure your burner for the natural coals is at least 1000watts or it's going to take forever and idk if it's been said yet but Reynolds heavy duty foil is the best.

EternalSoil
Do we not recommend Nammor/Razan/other larger diameter washable hoses anymore? It also depends on your budget and what you can get locally.

[/quote] You're not limited to razan hoses. There are quite a few comparable hoses available. I have a few nammor hoses and have enjoyed them. I would suggest a washable or atleast rust proof hose. The non-washable hoses have a metal coil inside that will rust over time whether you washed it or not. The review section when will be your friend as you get started.
