Couple Of Questions About Hookahs And Hoses

Recommended Posts

I've searched and searched for more information on these Darwish Hookahs and can't seem to find any (http://www.5starhookah.com/Darwish_c129.htm)

Are they just oxidized MYAs or something different? 5 star shows them with Mya hoses but I don't know what to think. Do they have the open chamber where you pull/purge (sorry if my terms aren't correct) or are they separate like a KM? I love the look but aren't sure.

I've also been eyeing the KM Beast hookahs. Haven't seen any reviews on them but they appear to be nice smaller hookahs with that nice KM jumbo vase. I have a 32in KM already and am looking for something a bit smaller that would be easier to transport. The paint on my vase got chipped the one time I brought it to a friends house and I don't want to risk anymore damage. I checked the review section and it didn't have any (unless I'm blind) anyone have a review link or experience with one?

As for hoses. I'm in love with the Narbish v4 white hose...but I'm worried about it getting overly dirty in the handle and looking ugly as hell. Anyone have one they use a lot and know if the white stays nice and clean or is it a recipe for disaster?

I'm not too familiar with Darwish hookahs, but they are not Myas. Not sure if they're common chamber like Myas or not. The hoses 5star have with them are Mya, though. They just pair them with those hoses, is all. Not too much word on how good Darwish hookahs are, but I've never heard anything poor on them in the past from the few reviews I've seen (mostly YouTube I think?).

KM Beast will treat you just like any other KM- excellent. It would be a sound purchase, for sure. Moreso than the Darwish, I'd say.

I've never owned a white hose, but those who have I know personally I haven't heard them complain about them getting dirty easily. I would think it's really up to you on if it gets dirty or not (if you lay it on the ground, it's obviously going to get dirty, compared to laying it on the coffee table or where ever you smoke, also how you store it- in a clean box or somewhere out in the open where it could get dirty). I wouldn't say it's a recipe for disaster, but obvioulsy it's going to show dirt more easily than say a black or blue hose.

My ex has a white hose. It did get dirty quickly, but her hookah also lived in a storage closet outside of her moms apartment for a few months. But it was not overly dirty. it just looked like normal ware and tear. I would say if you want a white hose, go for it, you can always replace it down the road. I am unfamiliar with the Darwish hookah, but as for the KM beast, it will be worth the purchase and will last you quite a while :D.

The KM Temple is also a great, smaller sized hookah. The stem is only 22", but it will sit taller of course depending on your base - it fits in the standard bell or jumbo, and the downstem is shorter as well. Its a very manageable and portable size - my daily go-to hookah and a breeze to rinse out. I removed the oxide finish which was starting to wear in places, and mine is brass and copper underneath and looks amazing.

Got my white narbish v4 in the mail today. Already in love with this hose. The rope handle seems like it will be more resilient to dirt than I had thought. I think i'll get a KM beast after tax season and see where I end up with. Thanks everyone!

If you don't want to pay full price for a KM Beast, I have one for sale currently, only used a handful of times, in excellent condition. I just shipped the Nammor hose out which cost $7, so I'm thinking the shipping cost for the Beast would be the same as well. Just thought I'd try and help you out since you said you were going to wait until after tax season. :)

Glad you are enjoying the Narbish. White is very sexy.
