Stuie
So i was using a cheap IR thermometer I got from Harbor Freight. Cocos were measuring 600-650 degrees at peak time. Occasionally getting an overheat signal. Bought a newer one (2 year old...killed the old one). Now my new one is showing 100 degrees hotter. It has a higher measuring range. Anyone got an IR Thermometer I can check against someone?
Skoozle
I thought this was about ice road truckers. Maybe measure some melting lead, tin or Zinc and see if your thermometer tells you the correct temp. I guess you could do the same with solder, but you would be trusting the manufacturers disclosed melting temp.
