Nirvana Super Shisha

Recommended Posts

i just got my sample of the new Nirvana "super shisha". i got the flavor called sex monkey and it seems to be a grape and mint flavor.... unless mint is still ghosted in my hose from the last time i smoked it. this stuff is really interesting. its washed shisha tobacco mixed with dokha. ill post up a review when it gets uploaded! has anyone else tried this stuff yet? i will say right now its an incredible grape flavor that packs quite a punch. smokes like a washed tobacco but hits like an unwashed.

Bassem sent out samples off another forum. i believe its on sale though at nirvanadokha.com. he sells the Nirvana blends as dokha though as well so if you plan to order, go to the "Super Shisha" tab. all of the flavors have flavor descriptions.

There is an old dokha thread running around here, but it's basically a very small super hit of tobacco in a small pipe. It's a long time middle eastern tradition and I understand it will knock you on your ass big time. Plus unlike having to resort to a cigarette for us tobacco fiends, it's a FLAVORED quick smoke without the crap Big Tobacco puts in cigarettes to intentionally addict. I checked the Nirvana website and it looks like dokha has come into the 21st century so I'm probably going to place an order this weekend. And might pick up some of the hookah tobacco too.

Not necessarily. There are blends with different nicotine levels, named cold, warm and hot. Cold being the blends that are not harsh and have the lease nicotine of the three varieties, and hot being the harsh ones with most nicotine!

But yeah, good stuff, though not my cup of tea! I had some but gave it away to a friend. Still may have some in a drawer somewhere.

Well, I was interested when we had the dokha thread running before and this time couldn't resist, so I place an order for a medwakh, and Berry Blast dokha. Figured it would add a little something to my having to come to work with "these people", lol..... Probably be here in a week and then I'll let you know. If what I ordered is really strong, my work day could get a whole lot better and funnier, couldn't it? Now if I could just figure out a way to sneak some Chopin into the water cooler............

I looked for the Dokha thread, and could not find it. Could someone bump it or should we start a new one? I have some questions and this could make some good discussion.

Dokha isn't for me, too hot of a smoke and I really don't like the pipes it uses. I guess the shisha is a unique idea though using washed tobacco blended w/ dokha for people who want some buzz out of their smoke.

You passed on the super shisha, 'Rani?

For the moment, yeah, because I've got (seriously) probably 40 kilos of unsmoked shisha, lol..... There comes a point where you just have to show at least a little discipline, you know!

I seem to recall Mustafabey started it, but why couldn't we just continue on from here with this one? Assuming OP doesn't mind it continuing in that direction, of course. Sounds like more than one or two of us are interested in it.

I recently started smoking dokha a few months ago, and actually haven't touched my hookah since then. I've always loved the smell of a tobacco pipe, and cigars, but dokha is completely different. I have about 25 different blends from Bassem at www.medwakh.com, and I would recommend trying it if you haven't yet. They have starter kits around $20, and Bassem provides the best customer service I've ever seen.

As far as the "buzz," I've found that just like with anything else, it depends on what you've eaten, time of day, how you light the bowl, how long you hold it in, etc. Many times I'll just smoke for the taste and the smell rather than inhale depending on my mood. The buzz doesn't always increase with the dokha rating (cold, warm, hot), for me it just depends on the blend.

I have no doubt what you're saying about Bassem, but he really needs to add some "oomph" to his website. He's got excellent stock from what I can see, but the site is just dull. I'm an Amazon Prime member which tells you I'm a dedicated online shopper. In fact, I order at least 80% of what I buy online and I will always choose the slick attractive website if pricing is somewhat similar. He'd probably pump up his business if he ramped up the website.

sorry but what is dokha?
Found a Wiki on it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dokha

Also, I started a review thread in the tobacco review section, please let us know how it is!

Interesting..... I also placed an order though medwakh.com and just checked my bank account online. The order at nirvanadokha.com also cleared as medwakh.com so apparently Bassem runs both sites. So I take back everything I said about adding some "oomph" to medwakh.com because apparently he's running two sites - one very traditional and one definitely for a younger crowd. Smart move on his part.

Here's a quick type up I did after smoking it for about an hour and a half

I got "skull control" it's kind of a berry/grape type flavor best I can tell.

Buzz - Wow I got a decent little buzz going on and I'm a noir smoker.

Cut - choppy, dry, dyed, think nakhla

Clouds - medium, think og nakhla

Flavor - light-medium, not in your face but with a definite tobacco undertone

Thoughts, very interesting, this is just an initial run. I need to try different bowls and packing methods before I do a final review but it's worth a try if you like higher nicotine or dohka. Smoke is pretty strong if you're familiar with dohka you know there are cool, warm and hot blends and everything but cool will give you some throat tickle, not for the novice toootie fruity smoker. The blend I got was definitely a warm or hot blend of dohka (they might all be those two since that's the higher nicotine stuff) so unless you've smoked dohka this stuff probably isn't for timid smokers. by the time I was 15 minutes into the 2nd set of coals I was FUCKED up, couldn't finish the bowl and I passed out on my couch. I smoke noir everyday and dohka a couple times a week.
