headhunter
Hey all its me again, yah i know lol. But i have a few questions, for the past few sessions from my leila iv noticed that iv walked away with a stomach ache that i didnt have before, now idk if this is something simple or even CO poisoning (doubtful since nothing else has happened). Could it be my hookah not being clean? or even the coals? (Holland QL, trying to get 3 kings). Thanks for your help guys ~headhunter
Hassouni
What were you smoking? Strong nicotine can do that. Also, some of the chemicals from quicklights aren't so great for you...

I can't vouch for the quality of those coals you're using, but instant-light coal has this as a regular issue. I'd say: 1 - Make sure the coals are fully lit, red all over with a layer of ash 2 - Consider upgrading to natural coal (Coco Nara are a favorite here) rather than different instant lights 3 - Get plenty of hydration while smoking
mustang67n
I get headaches and stomach aches every time I use QL's personally. That is definitely my guess as well. Look into getting nat's like Epoch suggested. Coco nara's are great, also, Razans from Nazarhookah.com are currently my favorites.

r1v3th3ad
Definitely the coals...when I started smoking I used QLs and they did that to me frequently
vendetta_revived
Oh man! The headaches and stomach aches I used to get from QL's after using them for sometime. Not to mention, feeling completely washed out, like I am gonna puke or something (even did that once). Just do yourself a favour and change to naturals. Suggestions given by Epoch about using QL's do help a lot, but I personally used to get headaches even when I followed them.
Floataround
Probably the QL's..but if it did happen to be some sort of nicotine levels thing, drink something like Coke. The sugar will help balance your body out, and the coke syrup will also assist in settling your stomach.
Chreees
It's one of two things: 1. Quicklights. See if you get the same thing using naturals (if possible). 2. You are not hydrated enough, or you are smoking on an empty stomach. Water is the best thing to drink with hookah. It cleanses the palette in between pulls. For eating, munch on some crackers if you don't want to really eat something. Hope this (and everyone else's) advice helps.

Floataround
Almost all of us light our Coals with a 15 dollar burner from walgreens FYI, not a full stove. Works the same. Edited February 24, 2012 by Floataround
