Chreees
So Travis sent me these Exoticas and they totally mindfucked me to be honest... I used Exoticas long ago and they were the ones that came in sticks that you broke into pieces along the scores. These are a whole different animal. They are just like Cocomazayas basically in terms of shape (cubes) but they are FUCKING HUGE!!! They remind me of Cocobricos to be honest. Here's a pic of them alongside the Razans I have for comparison: So yeah, anyway, the point is, what are these and why haven't I heard much about them? I used Razans my first round and these the second and they lasted a good bit longer (obviously due to the larger size), ashed just like the Razans, and were just like Razans in the way of how much heat they put off and whatnot. Lighting took a bit longer, though, of course. Anyone tried these kind of Exoticas? If you've tried Cocobricos as well, how did they compare? king_lunchb0x
no but ive been looking for those. I didn't like the finger style Wonder how much they go for a box?
navy876
Cant say I've tried them. But im pretty sure they'd work shmexy with Vortex bowl and some Good'ol Starbuzz. <3 YUM.
gramps
My sessions usually go longer than I have time for anyway. Maybe a coal that lasts just a little longer would be ideal, to keep from having to go a second round with coals that don't last quite long enough. Chreees
Well damn. Travis got me good. I knew something was up since I'd never seen them like that before, and actually thought in bed last night, I wonder if he put a different brand in the Exoticas box. Oh well, thanks for letting me try Cocobricos Travis! I love them and I want more now, damnit! Btw, it seems you put a good bit in there, even if there are Exoticas underneath... I'm going to be a sad panda when I've used the last ones. Good coals.
EternalSoil
Wow that some funny shit!!! I was kinda thinking the same thing as stuie and mush about the box, but then passed it off as one of those "we did x first so you know this y is good" type campaigns.
I used to be a big fan of exoticas, until we got many boxes that seemed of lower quality. See this old video Canon and I made about them: It used to be where you would have to score them with a knife before you could break them, and breaking them into 4 pieces was nearly impossible. Even I could break them into the smaller pieces, and the ash seemed to be a brown ash instead of a white/gray.
