Custom Finishes For Hookah Stems

While I'm not a fan of the purple (just personal tastes), it does seem like a cool idea. There'd better be pics when you get it done.

Yeah knowing me, I'll be thinking about the color till the day I ship my stem out to be coated. Purple isn't one of my favorite colors, but I'll be picking up a HookahJohn Bohemian base, which, being clear with gold stripes, is hard to color-match effectively. A simple gold finish would flow the best, but then it wouldn't really be any different than it currently stands. I'm thinking purple and gold will be a nice mixture, but not too clash-like. I'm still open to color suggestions, guys. I've toyed with the idea of a "royal blue" sort of color, which will also look great with gold. Unfortunately my first three color suggestions are out. "Dipped" colors aren't all that durable, and teal might be a bit too contrasting.

I'd say just polish up that brass and skip the coloring altogether!


Buuuut if you're really dead-set on getting it colored, I'd stick with a natural looking metal-colored finish.
