Nope, just water. I use room temperature.

some alcohols can be used, but in the end it is more of a waste. Flavor doesn't come through all that much from whats in the base. Ive seen people use milk a few times...that is just a bad idea...You have to clean everything very very well afterwards and often the milk will bubble so much that it gets into your hose destroying it. I use icewater when I smoke...Can dull flavors a bit but makes cooler smoke

I tried some lemon tea I had lying around that I was trying to get rid of once. It contributed little or nothing to the flavor, and it caused added bubbling problems (though not as much as milk would, I imagine). The only thing it accomplished was getting rid of unwanted liquid. Water's best. Period. The only thing that doesn't strike me as utterly silly to add to the base is ice, but even then, if you really want a cooler smoke (overrated to begin with IMO), an ice hose works worlds better, and doesn't give your base irritating condensation problems. Water is always best.

If you feel frisky you can add ice, liquor (but don't overdo it), or fruit slices. But water will always be the constant.

Yep, He can call it Hydrogen Dioxide so he feels like he is putting something special in the vase while still puting the proper liquid in the base.

I have also used room temperature ice on occasion.

Hydrogen dioxide is more commonly known as hydrogen peroxide, a disinfectant, bleaching agent and pesticide. It is an environmentally friendly chemical compound found in most homes and first-aid kits, though it also has strong industrial and agricultural uses. It was discovered in 1818 by French chemist Louis-Jacques Thenard.

Think you meant dihydrogen monoxide - 2 hydrogens, one oxygen. H2O

Thanks I had heard allot, but never tried anything other then water. After hearing you guys if anything I might just add ice to see if I notice any difference. I dont want to go thru the irritating cleaning ritual just cause Im trying to experiment with other liquids. I was looking for an enhanced experience without the additional mess.

Water is the best liquid, hands down.

But experimenting is alot of fun and seems to be a part of getting involved in the hobby. I've put just about everything imaginable in the base and smoked out of everything I could find that would hold liquid, at some point. Just stay away from dairy products.

I usually stick with ice. This might get some flak, but skim milk actually works. Don't use anything with fat that's where the bubbling comes from. When I've used skim milk it has made a noticeable (good, smoke was different, I could feel it was smoother) difference. And none of the weird bubbling associated with other kinds of milk.

Go ahead and throw weird stuff in your base, most of us have done it.

And ended up sticking with just plain water.
