To Anyone That Has An Al Nawras Hookah And A Mya Hookah...

Recommended Posts

Okay, I need someone's help. This is not whatsoever a big deal, just something I'm curious about. If someone has an Al Nawras hookah with the unscrewable bowl port adapter, and a Mya hookah, please do the following and let me know how it works:

Unscrew the adapters off of each hookah. Take the Mya one and try fitting it onto the Nawras. How does it fit?

Reason I ask is I'm looking for a female port adapter for my Nawras so I can use male bowls on it, and am curious if this one from Mya will work or not: http://www.myasaray....EPARTMENT_ID=36

Thanks,
Chris

EDIT: A Nour hookah may work as well, similar to Nawras but with the smaller hoseport and purge valve...

If you don't use it, would you mind sending it my way, and if it fits it fits, it it don't it don't? I don't mind paying a few bucks to find out. Doesn't matter if it's chrome or gold. Let me know. :)

If you're not wiling to sell it, could you maybe measure the opening on it where the threading is? That way I can get an idea if it'll fit mine (which I believe to be a mid-2000s model).

I dont use mine as my mya is the only pipe i have left that can take regular bowls...which I use my johnny mini on mostly for various things out of my normal routine smokes...

anyway I will get more detail about the size and report back today

Haha, yep, I just want to have the option of using male bowls on my Nawras in the future if I so wish to. I love my Elmas, don't get me wrong, but for whatever reason I smoke from my Nawras the most.

Thanks man, I appreciate it!

well I can tell you that the elmas male bowl will not fit in the mya female stem adapter...

however I did notice http://5starhookah.com/Elmas-Unglazed-Clay-Female-Hookah-Bowl-ELMFB.htm

Im sure its a great bowl.

Ive seen a few euro narwas heavy sites perhapse if your dead set on adapter. otherwise just use the elmas for nak and narwas for tang KM for random smokes

Thanks, Justin. I appreciate you helping me out on this. Like I said before, it's not necessary but something that would be convenient, as I do tend to use my Nawras the most. I'll just continue on looking for one that will work. :)

Sorry for posting twice in a row but this short thread has been full of win for me today!

Chris you are genius - your ideas have helped me fix the opposite problem. I have a super tiny narwas that takes male bowls. For some reason the female bowl port is a little lopsided and bent so the clay adapters don't work, so I've been using a wonky stack of odd grommets to be able to use my small crown classic with it. Works kinda but you gotta watch the bowl as it begins leaning after a few mins.

Unscrewed the male bowl fitting from the top of my tall mya, plopped it into the female nawr bowl port. Its not snug, but stick a mod grommet on top and its steady, secure and just the right height!

Woohoo!

Chris, if you get a chance, take your pipe to a hardware store and check different nuts to see which one threads on. That will tell you the thread size that you need.

If Justin can't help you out, I have a male bowl port (for female bowls) that might work for you. I could check it at the hardware store to see if the threads match up with your pipe.

EDIT: I forgot to mention, my port is much bigger than the Mya ones. I tried to swap them and the syrian port fit over the top of the Mya stem end without threading. That may be more confusing than informative. Edited by Skoozle

Okay, I'll try to do that soon, if I get the time... I feel like I live at the damn hotel these days! Thanks, Ashley. Knowing the proper thread size will probably help a lot. I have a feeling that mine is bigger than the Mya ones as well.

It'll at least save you some postage, although the question is; Is it worth your time to schlepp to the hardware store when you could just try out a few adapters for a few bucks in shipping.

Honestly, with how my schedule has been, I'd rather just pay few bucks in shipping. I have someone who is going to look around Dearborn for me next time they go. :)

Crap! I just realized you are wanting to use Male Bowls.

The adapter I took pics of is for female bowls. I have one for Male Bowls and could get you one if the threading looks right.

Lol! I just PMed you asking if you could get me a female one for male bowls... haha. I think if the threading/size is the same as your male adapter you showed me in the pics, it should fit mine.
