Help With Weak Smoke?

Hi,
I bought my first hookah last week and it is going well except for the fact that
through the hose the smoke is very weak. As a test I removed the hose and gave it a
go and the smoke was much thicker.
It is almost like the hose is absorbing all the smoke.

Is this due to a sub-par quality hose or something else?

There are many different models of hoses out there - some are not very wide, some are nearly as thick as a garden hose. The material of the hose also may make a difference - synthetic hoses, "washable" hoses, traditional leather hoses - if you could give us some idea about the type of hose that you are using, and also a little info about your hookah, we could probably give you some better feedback!

You could also check to see if there is a leak in your hose. Plus the one end and blow in the other (THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!!!) and see if there is an air leak that way.

Also take a picture of what you have...it may be one of those crappy plastic hoses that comes with many hookahs.

You have the hose in backwards.. So I'm going to say you have a big air leak and sucking in air instead of smoke. Flip it around and you'll be good.

Buy a nammor or narbish, check seal on the hose to hookah (make sure its not getting constricted) and use "moar coalz"
