GuyWithTheGun
Ever burned a massive hole in your carpet? I just did! Man, this hole is just way too big. Anyone got any tips for repairing them? LOL. I know, I'm reaching. I'm totally reaching. But the fact of the matter is I'm just rentin this place. It's gonna suck when move-out time comes... Anpu
Lol I'd like to know too. It is a reach. Ugh.. I'd say get some paint or something to hide the burn and just leave the hole there would be your best bet... maybe cut some carpet and superglue it in it's place? lol... as long as it blends in with the carpet and isn't too visible you MIGHT get away with it
novicafe
Yeah go to an area or a corner in your house where you dont really see the carpet, cut up a piece, and glue it in place.
DizzyGuy
Heh, my carpet burns were smaller so after roughing up the spot and cutting out the burned chunks, I made it pretty much invisible except unless you knew where to look and looked hard

Thadeus
Yeah, I've burned a hole in mine as well. However, I don't know how to get rid of it. You could buy one of those throw rugs that cover an entire room. I've thought of doing that. It sucks because I rent as well, haha. Not like I was getting that deposit back anyway. GuyWithTheGun
I think when we get the money we're just gonna get the apartment secretly recarpeted.
haremmaster
If you call a carpet cleaner guy he can professionally cut out some carpet from a corner or something and replace it with the burned piece for like 20 bucks.
betsy
i melted a big roudn spot in my carpet when i was like 14. it's still there. i covered it up with a rug. good thing my parents hate the carpet anyway.christ why does fire have to burn/melt things? damn heat. we really need to come up with some better technology. something less dangerous. GuyWithTheGun
LOL. We could just start putting big chunks of plutonium on the tops of the bowls. It'd last a lot longer, probably longer than the person smoking it.
D15L
haha my carpent burnt when one of my friends put the coal on a dry piece of paper towel that was on the carpet. Burnt straight through. What i did was cut out a piece of extra carpet and cut out the burnt part, replaced it with some carpet tape i got from home depot. By the way, how does everyone clean up the burning coal and extra ash? My friend told me he jus runs it down the sink because the coal turns to liquid afterwards but i am still skeptical of that. Other coals may not dissolve so you will have to let it cool, run water over it then throw it in the trash.and for the record. I have burned 3 holes in my carpet. The first was a brand new coal, someone knocked my hookah and it flew out the top of my windscreen. I dropped the coal in my ashtray which was glass and put it out side to cool. About 3 minutes later and heard a loud bang. My ashtray blew apart and was scattered in 6 large pieces on my deck. I really liked that ashtray too.Anyway to fix the carpet. Which I am the man at doing, I even passed inspection when I left my apartment so now I wont owe anything on it. So, go to a closet or something dark and out of the way with the same color carpet. Cut out a square 1/4 inch larger than the burn hole. Then cut an idenical piece in the donor carpet. Swap out the squares and glue them down. Carpet glue, super glue anything that is strong and will hold well to a vacuum cleaner. Then mend the fibers together so they appear to be 1 piece. Now to hide the burned piece. Take your hand or any item you want and rub it back and forth on your carpet pulling up all the loose threads. Now glue this down in the burn hole. Put a load in the hole (haha) then drop the carpet fibers into it. Make sure you have enough to fill and make the carpet appear level. I chose to use the very corner pieces in my hallway closet. It was the darkest and easiest to hide. After a couple days pull on the replacement piece to make sure it is held down well. If not pull it up and add more glue. It will hold I had to redo it twice till it was completely solid.
Ruddigger
I dropped a coal on my off-white kitchen linoleum and it burst into many tiny hot pieces of shrapnel, each leaving a nice black circle. I painted over it with some pretty well color-matched paint, but you can still see the difference if you look close. So now I always transport coals with my coal carrier, which I even had before, I just hardly used it.
Joseph
To prevent burns, just buy a cheap rug and put it under the hookah. This will protect the "real" carpet.

Sonthert
I only smoke over concrete or tile. Try one of those large office chair plastic pads they sell at Office Depot.
