I saw you had one in one of your other photos and now you got this one. Where do you acquire your trumpet vases from if you don't mind me asking? I've been tempted to snag a melech or queen with the trumpet vases that come with them, just can't see myself spending that kinda loot on a set up. I understand it's a subjective thing, though. They're not everyone's cup of tea. Plus, you really have to pair them with the right shanks to make it really look right. But then again, that could be said for a lot of vases I guess. I think you know what I mean... This one I got from kasbah.us, as stated above. It was on the site a pretty short amount of time and I just had to get it for the pipe I have in mind. It's TOO perfect of a vase. You'll see what I mean soon. I know, I know, I JUST sold the Elmas because I needed the money. Well, this I just couldn't pass up, and I had no intention of getting another pipe. I sold some other things and also turns out the fiancee's mother may not be in as much financial trouble as previously thought (my fiancee's dad got his finger cut off and her mom was worried about paying for the rest of the wedding photographer, yada yada yada...). Long story short, my wallet felt comfortable enough to snag this new rig. Not everything is in yet, so more to come... My first trumpet. Now that is a vase that I truly hold dear to my heart. Hassouni on here brought it all the way back from Lebanon for me IN HIS FRIGGIN' CARRYON BAG. Yeah. I love the thing to death and will never sell it, even if/when I stop smoking hookah. It's just a kickass vase. And he is an awesome person for bringing it back for me! Can't wait to pair this thing with the shank I am getting (the more to come part)... I may just have to use this vase with my Nawras for the time being. I sold my Elmas to get money for wedding expenses and this shit just happened to pop up and so I had to grab it while it was available. Shit like this you just don't see everyday. May use it on that vase some, but definitely will stay on it's red genie vase primarily. Now the new shank I have coming in that's going on the peacock trumpet, I am pretty sure I will want to mod the downstem to make it longer so that the water level doesn't have to be so high. Hassouni showed me a good method that involved cutting the downstem, but I think the route I'm going to go is find the proper size clear vinyl tubing and just cut it to the right length and fit it over the end of the downstem.
