Epoch
I've never had an issue there... 1 - Mix up the mu'assel evenly 2 - Grab a few pinches of tobacco to fill the bowl, don't worry about mashing it down tight 3 - Make sure it's full to the top 4 - Add ONE layer of HD foil, and poke lots of holes 5 - Put your charcoal on the sides of the bowl And enjoy! vendetta_revived

Hey thank for all the tips. I picked up a coil burner the hell with QL. I am still getting used to my new KM and I can get the al fakher to be flavorful but my starbuzz shisha is still giving me trouble. There is almost no taste, and i mean none, not charcoal not of burned tobacco or anything. Just plain ol smoke. I am packing it below the rim and just fluff packing it. How ever some of it does touch the foil. I will try it out of funnel soon i guess, and will try putting in even less shisha then before.
I still have no idea why people are so afraid of of tobacco touching the foil. I find that ALL of the best sessions and easiest heat management come when the bowl is packed FULL, flush with the rim.
This. It doesn't even feel right to me if my tobacco is not touching the foil. I've tried it, but never had a good session that way. Doesn't smoke right. Doesn't taste right. mustang67n
I agree, Kenshin. Add more tobacco, I'm thinking you're not using enough. just grab pinches and sprinkle the tobacco into the bowl. Don't pat it down at all, dont touch it after you sprinkle it at all. fill it to the rim or slightly above the rim.. then ad the foil over the top (as tight as you can get it) the foil will pack the tobacco down the little bit it may need. Then poke lots of holes all the way to the bottom of the bowl (to help with air flow) After the holes, I always blow through the bottom of the bowl to be sure I have enough flow. Put the bowl on the hookah, toss some coals on. and you should have a great session.
