Hookah Vacuum thingy?

Recommended Posts

Ok well i went to the hookah bar...again...And i dont kno if this is new news...whoa that sounds weird, but have u guys ever seen like a hookah starter vacuum type thing? It was like, once they set up their hookahs, they attach the sucking machine (not dirty) and kinda put a constant pull on the hookah.Im not sure ive im correct in the benefits but it seems like it would break in the bowl faster, make sure the coal is lit (instant lights so no lingering in bowl) and avoid that sut in the hose. Its kinda like getting into the good part from the beginning. also maybe kinda pack the bowl a bit and evenly heat distrubute the heatIm sure u guys can put out some cricual criti. so i guess go for it.I dont think its like a must get personal item but i was just thiking it was a really cool thing.ps. i really hope this is not a previous thread.and yes, i kno there is a search funtion.

I don't like it... Quick lights... it seems that chemical would burn and infuse right in with the shisha... ick. And then I would think that it'd burn the bowl out quicker... so shorter session.

I went to a lounge on the west side of chicago and they did the same thing. It looked like it was just a clean shop vac with a foot pedal. The guy got the hookah setup then put the hose in the vacuum for about 10 seconds and the hookah was hitting nice and thick.Probably beats sitting in the back of the shop puffing the crap out of it to get it started.

Interesting. For us all of our hoses are clean before each use and we start the hookahs in the back, so when we bring them out to the cu stomer they pull decently. Of course we use a mouth piece when doing so.But this machine you're talking about seems interesting.

at the hookah bar i work, we use a vaccume cleaner to clean out the hoses...just put one end in the vaccume hose (not the mouthpiece end, obviously) and beat the hose on the counter to get all of the particles out, then use use it to start the hookah going

I would kinda like to have one of these -- I hate getting the hookah started. Puffing away on nothing but charcoals burning full blast is never fun. I love those smokes that cloud up to full thickness on the first pull... so satisfying...

That has to be the most LAZY product I've ever heard of! Hookah lounges are supposed to start up every hookah and I guess these guys just use an automated way of doing it. The problem with that, though, is that the one who's preparing the hookah doesn't really taste it to see if it's properly made, too harsh, etc... At the lounge I go to, when they used to prepare the hookah for me (now I do it myself, I've gotten to know the workers/owner quite personally,) they would always make sure it was properly made and the best way to test it would be through starting the session for the client...

I'm not too sure about lazy, I can definatly see the benefits of being able to do it faster and more consistant, but I think you are right about them not being able to tell any problems with the smoke. I suppose it sounds interesting to play with.

I don't see what so so genius about this. You can buy small portable handheld battery powered vacuum cleaners. That's probably all it is.I used to use a vacuum to start my hookah up long ago but then stopped as I couldn't really be bothered with the hassle.
