Moose
Since last March I've had this little $40 hookah, not even stainless steel. It needs to be replaced, and luckily my first FULL paycheck is tomorrow. So, I'm looking online to see if there's anything that strikes my fancy, or is nice and on sale... or both, which would be fantastic. If you've got any good links, throw 'em at me, please. Chreees
This (post #46): http://www.hookahfor..._40#entry544595 Snag one now while you can. Excellent pipes (I just got one myself), something more on the rare side (once these are gone, they're gone), and a great price. But if a nice Syrian doesn't tickle your fancy, I'd look at Khalil Mamoom, Farida, Elmas, or Mya Saray.

Moose
They certainly look nice, especially for that price. And you've had no problems with it, even though it was old stock and they had to pretty it up?
Here's my review for the model I got, what Kasbah has dubbed the "Tower": http://www.hookahforum.com/topic/45409-af-large-solid-look-alike-all-brass-syrian-review/page__pid__544364#entry544364 Very pleased with it. They clean up nice and look brand new once polished up (which yours will come polished, so no effort on your end). The other two models should be just the same quality-wise as the model I got. I must say, the glass it comes with is pretty nice as well. Not only do you not see these Syrian shanks very often, but you don't see any of those glass shapes often either. I would go for one of these, and if you end up not liking it in the long run, you can always resell it no problem. Syrians are a good investment in that sense. But I can already tell you that you're gonna like it so much you won't want to ever sell it.

If you take care of it, it should serve you well for MANY years.

I'd buy one of these over a KM or other brand pipe I mentioned above anyday. Really though, it's all subjective and comes down to what YOU like best and want to spend your money on. Moose
How long did the shipping take on your hookah, Chreees? I don't know if I should ask for higher shipping, I'd like to have it in next week. As well, what's the general thought on brass bowls? I know it'd look better with the hookah, but I don't know how well a brass bowl would smoke.

You being in Virginia it wont be longer than 3 days shipping time. Brass bowls are mostly best used for "black leaf" tobaccos like Zagloul, Salloum, juraks, and things of that nature. The reasoning for this is that metal stays hotter than clay so it's best for those kinds of tobacco that require more heat without heaping on a bunch of coals. Also, they are pretty to have as a show piece if you so wish
Moose
You wouldn't advise it for lighter shishas then? Shipping time sounds great, by the way =P

Moose
Alrighty. The nice looking ones on your site look washable, though it's not listed in the details. I'd order one of those, but I think they're a bit long for my tastes. Might change my mind, who knows? Thanks for the help, at the very least you guys have good customer service =P

Moose
Complain when it gets caught on stuff more often >_> Though they do look like they'd go nice with that hookah. Edit: Oh, the 80" is including the 22" handle. 58" of hose is more managable, and a huge handle is badass. Might get that and one of the brass bowls, for Nak. Nak can hold it's own with heat, but besides that it'd look nice for display... And it wouldn't hurt to give more patrionage to the company that's bringing out this fantastic deal =P Edited April 12, 2012 by Moose
dzigner
Nice pipe Chreees I picked one up from Skoozle. Hopefully he hooks it up with a grommet. What am I in for as far as cleaning it I have some brasso at the house is it just that and elbow grease? Edited April 12, 2012 by dzigner
