Lucid if you're not looking for a buzz or don't care about a buzz, or Birquq if you're wanting a buzz or just wanting to try and see what everyone is raving about! Noir is a bit harder to manage in terms of packing and heat management typically, so I always recommend trying that later. Go for it though if you want a big buzz and are a fan of tobacco undertones, or a more "robust" smoke. Lucid and Birquq will have a "cleaner" flavor. Yep, huge clouds, great flavor, and lasts longer. I went 7 hours one time on Tangiers Lucid Indian Summer using my Tangiers Mini Phunnel. Most insane session I've ever had, haha. I think the flavor is stronger than most other brands out there. Some of the flavors smack you in the face, while others are more subtle. Just depends. Check out the reviews to see what other members had to say and see what you think you might like! For comparison, Nakhla in my Mini Phunnel will go a couple hours, maybe three. Tangiers will go around 8 hours in a Mini (I STILL had some left that wasn't crisp in the very bottom of the bowl when I was done!). You can only imagine how long it'll go in the bigger phunnel sizes. But yeah man, try it out! Shit's good!

KasbahBazaar
Yea, I started out smoking Noir it was a little too much for me because I wanted Tangiers for nice easy smoking fruit flavors. My most recent order I bought some Lucid and really enjoy it. I like both Noir and Lucid, but for different occasions. If you don't want the buzz, spring for the Lucid and you'll be happy! fuckthatvincekid
You may have a VERY HARD time learning to pack Tangiers at first, but don't be discouraged, it's worth it. Easily took me 10+ bowls to get right. There are lots of tutorials for it, but in the end everyone packs it a little different.

[/quote] Well I can pack it fine now.. haha, I was just having trouble before. Watching a couple videos, I've noticed different packing techniques. I finally settled on having to pack it as tight as possible, just under the brim. But some people say only lightly push it down, some people overpack, some people poke holes in the shisha, etcetcetc..
Hellz
I started on noir (At the time against everyones judgement) and have smoked nothing since. Ain't gonna lie... I'm pretty boss at it. If you learn from things you pick up quick and should have it within 3 bowls. I learned quick anyway. all I did was read methods and everything from around the forum. you do that you should have no problem.
newjacksm
I've always had a way too difficult time acclimating tangier noir. I haven't been around the hookah game for awhile, (smoking like once every 4 months) Birburiq (SP) Is something new. Does it still taste the same and is the quality just as good? Pavo21
The new Tangiers is just more heat sensitive and it takes less heat and doesn't need to be acclimated but yah its good
littlec
I say jump straight in and buy noir. it's what I did and I have no regrets. Down side to that atm is noir stock is really low right now because of Eric focusing mostly on pushing out the new birquq. So I'd say go with that for your first run then try noir soon after once stock has had time to replenish Edited April 15, 2012 by littlec
