A good friend! 4 boxes of nahkla! Reviews!

Recommended Posts

My friend Jess just went to Vegas with her family and brought me back 4 boxes of nahkla. Mint, Orange, Grape, and Mixed Fruit. One (cant remember which) is an "Al Basha" one. whatever that means.Apparently the Alladin in Las Vegas has a hookah lounge and store. There will be more coming shortly!Nahkla Orange:Setup: Two Japanese Easy-Light (sultan i think) coals, water in base, whatever my hookah is.Cut: it was juicy, but it broke up pretty well; small and flaky bits, i didn't see any stems but i didn't check it all outSmell/Flavor: kinda a strange orange taste with a sour kick. Like that orange zest.Buzz: Pretty strong, but not unbearably so; however this was my second smoke session of the day.Thickness/density: pretty thick; not amazing but not awful. Also it was outside, with wind and very direct sunlight. Flavor of smoke: needs to be acclimated, but very much like it smells, it was almost a little harsh at the end for me, but my girlfriend loved it.Overall: 8/10 It was not a terrible flavor, and truth be told it like my very first shisha (nahkla strawberry) are great because you can't fuck them up. Just toss a coal on it. Also a review:Al Waha 5-Star:Setup: same as aboveCut: really really juicy. Saw one stem in the 50g box, not too bad. Smell/Flavor: Very candy-ish, and sweet. Couldn't put my finger on it.Buzz: WHOA. The first time i did it, was later at night and alone. My stomach was so upset i had to stop and clean up, and hobble away inside. I did it with my friend, and i could not hold on to it for long cause i got loopy quick.Thickness/density: A little thicker than the Nahka; but it was even earlier in the day, around 1pm outside.Flavor of smoke: Very sweet. It was definitely a candy of some sort; but still cant pinpoint it.Overall: 8.5/10 Pretty much the same as above, but it seemed to require a little more time to heat up. Perfect for my friends who don't get a buzz!

Interesting about the Al Waha 5-Star shisha buzz. The Al Waha 5-Star is actually a mixture of different flavors of (leftover)shisha and supposedly each one tastes a little different. A local Middle Eastern Grocery Store owner told me this. But yeah, according to your post the buzz sounds pretty strong!
The Al Waha 5-Star is actually a mixture of different flavors of (leftover)shisha and supposedly each one tastes a little different.
so 5-Star is the baloney of the shisha world?

I think Scalliwagh (The Gaelic spelling) is likening baloney to a collection of different meats thrown together, like 5-Star. I don't think 5-Star is really made that way, I think its the same each time, more or less. I have no idea, though.
