headhunter

is it tough to sand down? mine needs sanded down, was using it all weekend up the cabin and it had restricted airflow from the foil hitting the spire...I'm gonna mess around with my packing technique too to see if that helps.
No its easy just takes a while, be sure to get some low grit as well or it will take forever. Something you can do while you are smoking another bowl though. Plus I think sanding is a great exercise tool in character building.
he isnt joking, took me HOURS to sand a prep my cars body parts to be ready to prime...and then you sand again lol
Hellz
Sanding is indeed a great character builder. +3 dexterity
dizzbizz
I know this is a bit off topic. But what sandpaper would be beast to sand an egyptian grommet down? Mine is too big for the base and it seems the paper i'm using isnt working as well as I'd thought. So i bought that sponge thing that has the sand paper on it. It yields not so great results as well. In regards to the binder clip, genius! There is a dremmel in the house but I just don't trust my unsteady self to use it.
squidget
pics as promised used a quarter here to show that I think the issue is its too tall on one side.
Chreees
Damn that's a tall center spire... Did most of the #7 phunnels come like this? Maybe more the reason it's best I didn't get one...
DrSmokes
Yeah, mine is pretty similar. That's why I've put a bent paper clip on top of mine (instead of sanding it down).

3rooker
by the way i ran water in mine and once it got to the spire it flows into that, keeping it from filling any further. it was about the right distance from the rim that the tobacco would need to be, but this is just how i tested mine. the water was about a quarter's thickness, maybe a little tiny more from the top of the rim

Are u saying "better" in comparison with other Tangiers phunnels or non-tangiers bowls? *Comments in this post do not necessarily reflect those of Tangiers Tobacco*

Chreees
5Star is now offering their #7 phunnels in package deals with just ONE package of Tangiers. $27.99 with Noir or $28.99 with Birquq. I REALLY want to place an order for a purple one with Ololiuqui, but don't need to spend the cash right now... Plus I'm afraid the #7 will be too close in size to my Minis. Honestly though if it weren't for the wedding and honeymoon, I'd get it.
