Sure, they are not forcing anyone to buy from them, but offering the bowl ONLY in a package deal? and therefore making consumers buying tobacco with it if they want the bowl doesn't seem very ethical. May be it's a good deal if you are low on tobacco, but if you think you already have enough, and don't want to shell out for more tobacco, then you're sol basically.
I guess if you choose only to buy from that vendor then you are SOL... There are a number of online vendors and retail stores across the US that are carrying Tangiers products. One enterprise has not cornered the Tangiers Pico market. There is plenty of healthy competition between our vendors. :twocents:On another note I'm kinda surprised that people don't like the package deal. I thought we all run through tobacco pretty quick anyway. You get a Tangiers bowl, Tangiers Tobacco, and the same coal we use at the Tangiers lounge. In some cases you get an oyster fork too. It kinda takes the guess work out of it because that's how we do it. Id rather see more people getting the packages than just getting the tobacco and trying to pack it in a Egyptian with QLs. Just people I want people to have a great experience. Not everyone is on the forum and getting awesome advice. Some people are just wondering around, buying tobacco, not reading the instructions clearly printed on the package and taking advantage of the helpful resources (including HF website, and phone numbers). So if they get a package, its just a matter of figuring out how to use it... which is not hard to do when you have all the tools included.
Truth to this. Whenever I'm browsing http://www.reddit.com/r/hookah/ it always blows my mind how much we take for granted around these parts. There are so many people doing so many things wrong around there, because they simply don't know any different.

king_lunchb0x
the #'s are hitting the market for around 17-19$ at just about every vendor, so it about evens out for the package deal. I guess some people just don't need tobacco right now but want the bowls its the problem. Since 5star didn't have the flavors of birquq i wanted so i had to order tobacco and bowls from seperate vendors. Cant wait to try them both!
Yeah, that irked me when 5Star decided to only offer the #8 Pico in a package deal as well... The #7 was one thing, but the #8 is supposed to be a regular production bowl. #8 Pico is now available at at least two vendors that I know of that don't force you to buy it in a package deal. Kudos to those vendors.

Both? Neither? I feel like I'm wasting my time reading posts by you because they offer no useful content to the discourse. Maybe you are trying to boost your post count since you've only been here 4 months? Either way: - 5star doesn't have a monopoly/monospony over Pico bowls. - there are other online vendors and local store that will sell you an individual Picos - I think 5star packages are a good idea because they provide the standard Tangiers lounge tools *Comments in this post do not necessarily reflect those of Tangiers Tobacco*

Chreees
so who has the pico bowls?
Katie, most people on here don't live near Magic Smokes. Just checked online- HookahJohn has one color in stock, the Chocolate Mesa/Turkish Amber. Sexy color combo, if I may so say myself. Price: $18.99. Vendor who shall not be named has an assortment of colors: Orange/Brown, Brown Splash, Grayish Blue, Light Purple (not sure if official name? Sexy color nonetheless), Black, Dark Blue, Orange/Black, Yellow/Black, Green Splash. I got the color names from 5Star, as this vendor ripped off 5Star's pic. They don't list the color names; instead they simply say type in the instructions what color you want (makes it a bit confusing, I think). Price: $17.99. 5Star has the package deal where you can get one Pico with either three packages of Lucid or three packages of Birquq. Colors: Orange/Brown, Brown Splash, Grayish Blue, Black, Dark Blue, Orange/Black, Yellow/Black, Green Splash. $55.99 for either package. It's also worth noting that 5Star has set up a package deal for the #7 phunnel package deal where they only make you get one package of Noir ($27.99), Lucid ($28.99), or Birquq ($28.99). Color options are Dark Blue and Medium Blue currently. I'm sure these vendors (and other vendors eventually) will get more, and in more colors, in time. The Greek
I gave in and ordered a purple pico bowl from 5 star and it came yesterday. If anyone would like pictures i would be glad to share. One thing that caught me off guard was that it produces a lot less smoke. I expected it to be small, but this thing is tiny. I figured that maybe since it is so small and uses only a pinch of tobacco that maybe that is the reason for less smoke?
