atalanta
There I was, reading FB posts, and Crown Hookahs had a special on crown funnel seconds. Since I had money burning in my pocket (waiting for a new coffee roaster since mine just croaked), I jumped on it. They arrived today. I haven't fired them up yet, but OMG if these are seconds, firsts must be awesome! Nice, heafty, gorgeous!!! Chreees
Crown products are awesome! We need pics. What exactly did you order?
Floataround
I love mine, and its a great tobacco saver. Perfect for when i want to smoke something either to try, or just for a short while, an hour or less typically, though I have gotten up to two hours depending on the brand. The only flaw is the heat retention/build up is not as strong with the glass bowls.
atalanta
They offered a package of buy 3 "factory seconds" crown funnel, get a mouthpiece free. The factory seconds are amazing - good heft, nice thick glass, the "defect" is that the central part is a little bit off kilter. I took all three to have a spare and one to share. Not too keen on the mouthpiece, it looks like an orb without the nipple. Workmanship is no contest, I'm just not a fan of the orb. May list that in the "to trade" section. Or save it if we do the polyanna again this year. He just released the funnel/classic hybrid. I think I'll get a classic first. ChicagoRSX
Congrats on the pick up. I love my micro phunnel, I actually own 2 of them. They are great for 1.5 hour sessions. Although I've stretched it to 2-2.5 hour sessions when smoking Tangiers. I love the simplicity of the bowls. You just put your coals on, and smoke. Maybe move the coal slightly when you ash them, but other then that, no wind cover needed. If you are looking for a longer session, I would advise the the Crown Classic(either V2 or V.3) I've gotten 3 hour sessions easy out of them. I also got the orb mouth piece recently, I'm a very much about aesthetics and I like watching the smoke swirl in the mouth piece. Easily Crown bowls are my favorite bowls. atalanta
They recently offered a Crown Classic and a crown jewel (that's the classic/funnel combo) seconds. I just missed the classic (I think it was a v3).
Floataround
I really like my original crown jewel, I would say they are worth picking up for sure. I have used them with everything except tangiers. If only we can get some male bowls made...a normal phunnel and micro phunnel would be great!

I am sure he will be able to do something about that.
Coyote
I'm interested in acquiring one for non-Tangiers use. What difference might I notice compared to an standard egyptian bowl with my AF2?

I didn't even contact him after I broke my crown micro (again ), but he must have read so on the forums, and he contacted me himself, and told me he'd cut me a discount on a new one if I were to buy. Too bad that I am broke atm, but I am definitely buying a micro again as soon as I get some money. I louurved that bowl!! [Edit] That reminds, me. I need to reply to him haha. Been so busy!
