Here are my hookahs as of now-- [img]http://i257.photobucket.com/albums/hh223/el0hveexE/hookah.jpg[/img] I'm not really sure what make they are lol. They're all from the brand Inhale? As you can see they're missing some parts, like the hoses and trays.... the blue one was actually a 2 hose Eiffel Tower Hookah that I bought about 2 weeks ago WAY over priced ([url="http://www.hookah-shisha.com/store/pc/catalog/Eiffel-Tower-1-Blue-L.jpg"]http://www.hookah-sh...er-1-Blue-L.jpg[/url]) but I took it off because the paint was chipping and it's kind of a pain in the ass to clean with it on lol. I still have the hoses and everything for blue but the other 2 I'm SOL I guess:/ I'm kind of in the process of buying a Mya .... wanted to get a Mozza, but I really like some of the other designs better. Seeing how they're pretty expensive, I was going to sell some (or all) of my current hookahs.. I went to wash them today, and noticed that all but the tall gold one are badly rusted inside and around the stems and the pink one has mold where the hose would go I contemplated buying new parts for all of them then selling them but I don't really think thats worth it considering I would probably only get like $100 tops.. I just bought $70+ worth of Fantasia too, not knowing my new hookah was already rusted :[ So I ask you guys, what should I do? Should I just go ahead and buy a new one, and just keep these on display? Should I buy new parts for the gold one and just use that? I'm a huge girly girl and would love a big pink hookah, and my boyfriend hates me for it. (lol) I'm not the biggest fan of the gold one, it was a gift from an ex, and the color is not my favorite...but it smoked incredibly good. I probably got 30+ hours out of that thing. What kind of bowls would you recommend? Hoses? I was about to buy a nammor but I read that a lot of people's fell apart within a month of using them.. Santino Posted June 9, 2012 Share Posted June 9, 2012 Personally, I'd just get a new hookah all together. Those won't hold up for long, at all. Myas are good hookahs, anything egyptian is great. You can get a REALLY nice Magdy Zidan from Social Smoke for about $90.00, and I know they have pink bases as an option. Alternatively I'd look at a Bambino or QT from Mya. For bowls, look for a good funnel. Don't get some cheap crappy chinese one, make sure it's a legitimate well made (American made preferably) piece. For hoses, there are a number of washable wide diameter hoses on the market, I've had issues with Nammors falling apart, and I'd personally recommend the Narbish from HJ. To me my favorite piece is not purely functional but also an artistic representation of myself. That being said, its also worth investing in something that will not fall apart and will work better than your current batch. Keep in mind I have a pipe now that I plan on keeping for the rest of my life. I have not tried a nammor but I have had a few razans, and one lasted for three years until it met its demise in a jacuzzi. The other two are still fully functional. It's to the point where I want to collect them, thats another reason why I didn't want to get rid of the ones I have now- but if they truly are crap then I will just chuck them lol. No point in keeping them if they don't serve much more than a flower vase What about the cobra & tonic hoses? Any good? There seems to be a real lack of quality in pink pipes at the moment. The whole hookah itself doesn't have to be pink. It would be cute, but I'd rather get something quality than something thats pink and barely works lol. I've seen lots of pink everything though- hoses, grommets, bowls, etc so I mean I could just buy replacements like you said. Would anyone recommend the Mya Diablo? It sounds like you already have a good idea of what you want. Mya Saray makes good hookahs and you won't be disappointed. Grab mine, whatever model you like. They'll all smoke the same, so it comes down to aesthetics. The secret to a perfect smoke is in the hose and bowl. Moreso the bowl. I recommend grabbing a Small or Pico size legit Tangiers Phunnel. Another great bowl to own is the standard clay Egyptian bowl (feel free to pick up a discounted chipped one- it'll smoke just the same, just not as pretty). For hoses I recommend Razan, Nammor, Fancy (Cheap "disposable" hose but it can be used for forever just like a regular hose), and I've heard good things about those Tonic washable hoses. Sounds like you know a good bit already and are definitely headed in the right direction. If you have any other questions or need to troubleshoot any issues, don't hesitate to ask! I do like it here Like I wrote on my introduction post in that section I've been lurking but haven't joined until now. I will look at the phunnel bowls right now - heard a lot of good things about them, and vortex bowls. Been having some trouble though, its probably just my cheap hookahs lol, or maybe the way I'm packing it, or even the QL coals I'm using *cringe* (need to get some coco naras!) but i'll pack the bowl, fluffy, and I'll use half a coal and will barely get any smoke. Figured it wasn't enough heat so I add the other half and still nothing.... took those off and extinguished them. Lit up another coal without breaking itl. Put that on and I get awesome clouds but it tastes burnt even from the beginning. Eventually will make me nauseous and lightheaded and I have to stop. Check out the Beginner's Guide to Hookah thread, pinned at the top of the Discussion Group section. That should help you out a bit. Also feel free to heck out my video on my YouTube Channel (link in my signature below) on how to pack a standard bowl. For the QL coals, break one into halves and use the halves on opposite sides of the bowl. But yeah, Coconaras will GREATLY improve your sessions. If you put it in the middle right off the bad you're going to shock the shisha and cause it to burn. Just my two cents, oh and also welcome to the HF!
