brookesaywhatx
Hi guys! Yesterday I got in the mail some 50g boxes of Fantasia that I ordered - cotton candy, strawberry daiquiri, strawberry lemonade, mon cherry, pink lemonade (and got 2 free for delayed shipment - blueberry splash and million dollar flavor). I was reading around and found that its usually better acclimated. How would I go about doing that? Just put them in tupperware boxes and leave the lid off? I don't want to mess it up and have it dry out or something lol.. Also, are the flavors I got any good? I know theres a review section - already been there I just wanted to know everyones personal opinion. I've tried the strawberry daiquiri and I loved it, but I've never tried any of the others. I don't even know what "million dollar flavor" is...kinda smells like cherry cola to me. Oh, and do I need to pack it any differently? I've been packing everything fluffy but I've been having problems with it tasting burnt right away I have a small tangiers phunnel bowl. Epoch
Here goes... Acclimation - I've never felt the need to acclimate Fantasia before, it's always plenty mellow and smooth. If you do plan on acclimating, just leave it open and mix it up occasionally. Good flavors - Only one way to find out! You'll find out soon enough if you like them. Trying new flavors is exciting, eh? Packing - Make it fluffy and full to the top of the bowl! If you feel like your packing is good and it's still too hot, take a coal off. Enjoy! joytron
I liked pumpkin spice and blueberry and that was about it. Acclimation is more dependant on smell, if it smells fine do not worry about it. Honestly though I would not even think about acclimation as I have never heard someone have issues with fantasia. It is really soupy so pack it light, if its starting to burn early it is probably too much coal. Try being patient and slowly add heat. What does your coal situation look like? brookesaywhatx
Well I've been using QLs, haven't got my cocos in the mail yet. Usually just use 1 full coal, on the side, moving it around as it ashes. I've tried breaking it before and its hit or miss, either too much heat or not enough. Rani
I've found that Fantasia uses really chemical-y flavorings (possibly alcohol based?), so depending on how it smells when you open the package, you may want to air it just a bit until that chemical "bite" lessens. It's not really acclimation like the way we acclimate Tangiers - just enough to allow the chemical overtones to evaporate a bit. Maybe 5 minutes at the most. And it isn't always necessary. Seems to depend on the flavor - like Pumpkin Spice never needs it, the old Blueberry always did. I happen to love Fantasia when I want something sweeter and more of a dessert-like smoke. Sometimes I'll dump it in the bowl and let it sit for a couple minutes before covering it. That's usually enough to resolve any problem. On the heat management issue, I find Fantasia really heat tolerant compared to many other brands. I've never burnt a bowl. 'Rani
Pavo21
If youre using a whole coal and just moving it around i recommend cutting the coal in half before lighting it and spliting it on the bowl that way the bowl burns evenly and your not murdering one side with heat the whole time. so put the coals on opposite sides and then rotate as needed make sure the coals are FULLY grey not black before using. but yah fluff the tobacco in the tangiers small you can push it down a little bit just not super hard, everyone has a different opinion on fluffing up the tobacco. i made this video for a friend who was new to hookah for starbuzz idk if its helpfull but it might be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_yWzBhkg2E
seefoodlover
I do like fantasia. The Million Dollar flavor and Orange Sherbert are my favrorite (I'm a sucker for orange. I drink Hairy Navels so a lot of time I mix orange and peach and it's delish!) Million Dollar Flavor tastes like a handful of Mike & Ikes to me. In a normal egyptian i usually use 2 coconaras and have no problem at all. Just keep them on opposite sides of the bowl and hanging on the edge, you'll get huge clouds and great flavor. Even huger clouds with a Tang funnel, but a little bit tricky to work with... In an Egyptian bowl, pack it light. Used to have trouble with it until I got a package that had "instructions" in it. It reccomended to fill a little bit lower than the rim, and this did in fact do the trick. For me at least. In an Egyptian bowl, this shisha will create a mess, so be prepared to give your hookah a bath
atalanta
I had the fantasia pumpkin pie work best in a funnel since it's juicy.
